Neee,... äh... Hä??
And once again we have a fragrance with a rather strange, almost funny name, something that could even cause confusion.

“Good day, do you have the fragrance Nèh?!”
“Uhh,… Hä??”
“No, but almost. Not Hä, but Neh!”
“Uhh,… näh??”
“Um,… did you just repeat the fragrance name or did you say nee, as in no?”

Well,… sometimes it can be difficult to search for specific fragrances in a perfume shop, as mentioned, certain fragrance names can cause confusion. Although Nèh?! should still be manageable… it’s certainly better than shouting: “I’m looking for the Palace Whore!” (Putain des Palaces by Etat Libre) :D

But let’s see how this fragrance smells first!

The fragrance:
The scent starts sweetly powdery, you can smell the violets and in the background the iris. The talcum likely provides a particularly powdery note, making the fragrance softer or smoother, but not dry, rather in a creamy way.
I don’t know what combination it is, but I also smell something similar to cotton candy, which then turns out to be candied almonds (e.g. from the Christmas market).
The opoponax creates a smoky scent cloud, but it’s not too strong here. The almond scent is a bit weaker later on, but still noticeable for a while. Otherwise, the fragrance remains sweet and beautifully powdery. A few hours later, however, you can only smell the violets and the iris.

The sillage and longevity:
The projection is better than expected (for a powdery fragrance) and you can perceive it from a short distance for a brief time. Then, unfortunately, it returns to normal and you have to get closer.
The fragrance lasts about eight to nine hours, but after five hours, you can hardly smell anything and in my opinion, it should be reapplied shortly after.

The bottle:
The bottle is rectangular and has a reflective label on the front with the name and brand on it. In other pictures, you can also see a white label, but I don’t know which one is the current bottle. It’s not particularly special, but it’s not ugly either. So, it’s quite okay.

Actually, it was almost clear from the fragrance list here that Nèh?! must be a great fragrance. I mean iris, talcum… all beautiful “ingredients” for a lovely, powdery scent. But I didn’t expect the almond note, and I think it makes the fragrance even better, although it also shifts it a bit into the autumn/winter season, although it still works in spring. Of course, the almond scent is weaker later on, so I would still describe the fragrance as an all-rounder.

It would be great for going out, but unfortunately, it’s a bit weak for that, so I would recommend it more as a casual fragrance or as a cozy scent.

Despite the strange (but cool) name, it’s definitely worth a test, right? Um… I meant Nèh?! … and here we go again :D

But as I said, I would definitely give it a try!

Love at First Sniff - Nèh?!
Thanks to Parfumo, I have a new hobby: trying out fragrances and writing comments about them. For the seasoned fragrance enthusiasts here, this may not sound particularly original, but for me, it’s truly a fantastic discovery. Applying the fragrance, smelling it, taking notes, letting my thoughts wander, doing any necessary background research, and then actually writing a comment - I haven’t been able to relax so well with something in a long time and stay focused on it for an extended period.

But now to Nèh?!:
After going through my untested samples, I hold Ambre Gris and Nèh?! in my hands. Which of the two will hopefully sweeten my early evening today? After a quick sniff of Ambre Gris, I already think the choice has been made. Still, I open the small sample of Nèh?! ... and am left speechless.

I cautiously dab some on the back of my hand. Indeed - it seems I haven’t overestimated it. At first, I think I perceive the very pleasant scent of baby powder. But the second sniff tells me something different: cream. And not just any cream, but the cream from the blue jar. The one I had to have smeared on my face before going outside in winter as a child. The one I always carry in mini format on every trip. The one that gives me a sense of security, no matter where I am, and caresses my soul.
My wrist smells as if it has just been freshly creamed. Or powdered? The association "baby powder" still lingers in my mind, and the fragrance pyramid, which I only looked up afterward, reveals the reason or reasons: talcum, iris, violet. THESE are what create the wonderful powderiness, a powderiness that doesn’t feel dusty but gently hugs the moisturized skin.

I confess: At this point, Nèh?! has already won my heart, and I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t develop any further.

But "Nah!" thinks Nèh?! (it was too tempting, and I promise this will be the only pun attempt*) and soon lets a sweet almond note rise to my nose. Almond? Confused, I skim through the comments and see that I’m far from the only one with this association. On the manufacturer’s page, the fragrance pyramid matches the one on Parfumo. However, ALzD also lists almond in the heart and white musk in the base (which doesn’t surprise me, as the scent radiates a wonderful cleanliness).

The almond increasingly gains sweetness and intensity, without making the scent sticky. It continues to convey a powdery-fresh creaminess, and in the background, I can still smell the Nivea cream.

Gradually, the almond then recedes, leaving behind a pleasant sweetness that is caressed by the iris and violet. I ponder what this sweetness reminds me of, and then DonJuanDeCats' comment comes to mind: cotton candy (even if I smell it elsewhere)!

As the sweet notes slowly fade into the background and are eventually only detectable as a hint, it remains powdery-creamy, and now I also perceive the scent of musk more distinctly. From now on, the fragrance hardly changes anymore (it becomes creamy-sweet again at the very end), but that’s fine by me. I am already smitten.

Nèh?! is a scent for snuggling and feeling good. Yet it still comes across as very fresh (thanks to the powder) and conveys a sense of pleasant cleanliness. I also find it very clear and have hardly been able to distinguish the individual elements in any other fragrance as well.

I would estimate it as rather close to the body, but it’s not out of the question that someone passing by a person wearing Nèh?! could catch a whiff of it. By the way, I might even wear it in summer, as it feels so carefree.

As for me, I am smitten and believe I can say: It was indeed love at first sight/sniff.

Sadly, I look at the sample: Only so little left.

My poor heart.

My poor wallet.

* Okay, okay, the one in the title unfortunately had to be included too...

When I want to cuddle with myself....
...I wear Nèh?

I have never worn a fragrance that is so close to my skin chemistry, so soft, so tender, yet present and enveloping, constantly winking at me, reminding me that just as I am, I am naturally beautiful.

Nèh? is me when I am balanced, satisfied within myself, find myself naturally attractive, a Parisienne, simply liking myself as I am.

When I first smelled this masterpiece, I thought, mhh, smells good, pleasant, baby-soft powder scent, ok.....

but

....I felt good, constantly thinking, mhh, you smell delicious, what is that, detergent, clothes, the cream, body lotion????

It was Nèh? - incredible, still so present and wonderful after hours, totally merged with me and then I was hooked.

I also like Prada infusion d' Iris, but this iris is much cleaner, much softer, much more authentic.

Almond scent, for me it smells less like that, white musk, also less, for me the iris is captured so wonderfully with powder.

I even smelled it the next day, and what I find great is that I can use another perfume, it doesn't bother me, because this scent is practically fused with my skin.

Nuovole I find quite good, but this one is a masterpiece for me!

The One with Three Faces
Nèh intrigued me due to the completely unknown brand and the original name, so I included it as a sample request in a swap package.

My curiosity was rewarded; I found the scent stunning and was initially confused by the somewhat strange fragrance impressions, but after a few hours, I was thrilled. It was a combination of an intense yet unobtrusive powder-cream blend and a very sweet, almondy strawberry note in the heart. And it was this note that fascinated me about Nèh.

I like strawberries. With sugar, with whipped cream, and even more in a strawberry daiquiri :-)
And I also like them in perfumes. I love the top note of "Womanity Eau pour Elles" for this very reason. But unfortunately, it disappears so quickly. So I was glad to have found something comparable here that lasts longer.

This note was described in statements as strawberry-sugar foam and as powdered strawberry talcum mix. Both sound crazy, but both hit the nail on the head. That's how I perceived it, and exactly that drew me in.

When the sample was empty, I ordered a decant.

After the first spray, I was lost. This was not the Nèh I knew. There was a hairspray note in the top, reminiscent of "Muschio Bianco" (which I didn't like), and this carried through to the heart. Only after that did the powder-cream blend return, without almonds. And certainly without strawberries.
What I should make of this was unclear to me. I definitely wanted my Nèh strawberries back.

Thanks to a good souk offer at just the right time, I boldly ordered a bottle. All or nothing. Maybe my cotton candy strawberries are back in there. That's what I thought and hoped.

With the bottle, Nèh showed me its third face. No hairspray. Phew, lucky me! But also no almonds. And definitely no strawberries - neither with cotton candy nor without. My bottle Nèh turned out to be a rather linear powder-cream scent without development and surprises. On my skin, it was just baby powder. A lot of it. And soft cream, whether it's blue or another, I can't say right now.
It was a really pleasant scent, enveloping, that accompanied one quietly but noticeably for a long time with good longevity.
But it was not a scent that could excite me in the long run. I noticed that I had to consciously motivate myself to wear it again from time to time. So it was time for it to move on.

Why Nèh presented itself to me in such different ways three times, I will probably never know. Reformulation(s)? Change of the scent due to the different sprayers (1 x plastic, 1 x glass / although I am at least sure that the glass decant was freshly filled just before).

A consolation is that I unexpectedly found my perfume strawberries (albeit without cotton candy) in a completely different scent. But more on that soon in my next comment... :-)

Nothing is as it seems
Monalisa was different. She always had been. Not that she wanted it that way, it just was. Her views and lifestyle were unconventional and, viewed by the masses, even rebellious and outrageous. Yet Monalisa had made authenticity and consistency her virtues. Nothing and no one could sway her from her path, no matter how rocky it appeared to her. And despite this consistency, she radiated a certain lightness. When she entered a room, all eyes were on her. She was beautiful, certainly. But that wasn't it. It was her charisma that no beauty in the world could compensate for.

It was winter. All the meadows and streets were wrapped in a velvety white blanket. Monalisa loved winter - always had. She loved the cold and the white and the all-encompassing grace of this splendor. Wrapped in her cape, she walked steadily along the white-edged country paths. Silence. Her. Nothing. For a moment, one could see a few tears on her cheeks. A silver sheen. Tears of gratitude and forgiveness. The twists of the last days had been profound. For her, as well as for others. She had warned many people in the past, wanting to open their eyes. In vain. Cognitive dissonance. She was laughed at, denounced. Not anymore today. Her darkest and brightest prophecies had come true. Finally.

Finally light. The end of duality. The sweetness of life had always accompanied Monalisa, like a swan its untamed pride. Warmth and heaviness at once. A winter magic - powdery, full, white and golden. Gentle, sugary blossoms. Golden age.

Nothing is as it seems. Trust your inner compass. If you have forgotten this, learn it again. There is no time. Here and now. Follow your heart. Believe nothing, question everything. The end is not for everyone. It is up to you to decide.

The best is yet to come!

Sunscreen. Creamy opening. A whiff in the wild - I'd think someone is applying sunscreen right next to me. Iris and talc takes over quickly.

Not a great start.
It begins almost like
almond fluff clouds,
getting lost in heliotrope.
Then it turns powdery
and artificial.

The mega-monster powder puff dusts and powders like crazy. Too much of it can feel overwhelming. Not bad, but not really me at all.
