Vetiveria Animalis Angelos Créations Olfactives 2022

This is another masterwork of Angelos. What a trip! Vetiveria Animalis seems like a complex and sophisticated scent, that doesn’t care about the time axis or anything else.Look at that list of notes!! It sounds wonderfully faceted and like there is an amazing evolution over time. I like that Angelos Balamis uses vetivers from different sources which sound like they were expertly blended with florals, spice and woods.

Angelos' vintage style Dna never disappoints.
This also turns out to be a very interesting composition.
Rich and dense with perfectly harmonized notes.
Initially more floral and aldehydic then after a while it takes on slightly more earthy and amber nuances.
In the base it gets, pleasantly, a little dirty.

A broad palette of vetiver for any taste, heavy buttery florals... Although it is incredibly executed, the dry-down is largely oud and castoreum on my skin, and that is just not something I tend to gravitate towards. If only oakmoss or hyraceum dominated the base notes, I would have said "yes" to this scent without hesitation. Oh well. I will leave this fragrance for others to enjoy :)

I always get vetiver as a really melancholic note, but the use of vetiver in there is different. The declinations of it! Surely it's not for the faints of nose and soul, as its open with a very prominent animalic tone. Observing the pyramid the first thing I'm supposed to feel is plum, cinnamon... WRONG! It's civet! A very amazing civet! Sbam! It punches you in the face, and then, only then, you can taste a little of the plum/cinnamon duo.
It becomes slightly less intense after the first kick of civet, as soon as its evolving, and I recognise my beloved haitian vetiver paired with some weak floreal notes. Don't get fooled by the pyramid, this is not a floreal scent at all. The orris butter is giving all its support, by the way.
In the drydown you get a oud, and I know, I know people think oud and civet are too much together but it's nonsense. Benzoin and patchouli guarantee a long lasting perfume. I am always excited when I find some good animalic scent.

فضا به نظر من فلورال انیمالیک هست تا وتیور انیمالیک
انیمالیک خوش بو و بوییدنی که خسته نمیشی ازش نعمته و کاملا هم میتونه پوشیدنی باشه
قطعا شامه من به اندازه کافی توان تفکیک پیچیدگی این عطر رو نداره و وقتی میگم گل رو بیشتر از وتیور میگیرم شاید برای شما متفاوت باشه این موضوع ولی اون حال و هوای خشک و زمخت وتیور رو اصلا نداره و بسیار نرم و سمباده خورده است اونقدر که مادرم که خیلی حساسه رو بوهای شدید و سردرد میگیره هم عاشقش شد
