Love at second sight!
I didn't want to give this fragrance a chance. Blinded by the hype about Ave Maria, I got the sample from LaMar when I ordered the bottle.
The first time I tried it, I thought to myself: the next sunscreen fragrance with a strong resemblance to the summer fragrance Queen Soleil blanc by TF. Nope, not a chance! I generally refuse to support "dupes". Ashes on my head...this is not a dupe, even the resemblance is not that great.
1Month later for the summer night, I spontaneously wanted to smell a little longer like suntan lotion as a rounding after the heat of the day and for the slightly tanned skin. I rubbed it in briefly and then wasted the whole 2 ml on my hair, skin and clothes. And there it was, the absolute beach feeling, fresh sea breeze, suntan lotion on warm skin.
The fragrance opens aromatic, floral on the skin and also fresh from ginger. Compared to Soleil blanc, there is more going on here. Soleil blanc starts immediately after the slightly alcoholic opening with creaminess and the heaviness of ylang-ylang and then remains fairly linear. La Mar begins louder, is fresher, more aromatic, airier and also more perceptible to the others. The fragrance then slowly moves in a creamy direction and settles a little more calmly, warmer on the skin and sweeter from the tuberose. In the first 2 hours, the fragrance is in its strength and with good projection. I got compliments from strangers all the way to my meeting and the perfume connoisseurs thought it was Soleil blanc. I have never received a compliment with Soleil blanc. After 4 hours, this summer creation remains mild, like a white, milky coconut cocoon with light mineral notes all over my body. It also lasts 24 hours in the hair.
I had to have more of the beach, more summer feeling, got addicted to it and had to order the whole bottle.
Great scent, better projection compared to Soleil blanc. And great summer vibe and clean beach feeling. Absolutely recommended!
