Miami
I really wish I had this for last summer, but now I get to enjoy it this summer

Miami opens up very sweet, but not candy sweet, lime, coconut, tropical sweet. Fantastic take on a tropical fragrance, nothing really like it out there (That I’ve smelt)

Yes, it dries down into a boozy, rum, and tobacco scent, but that lime and coconut stays with you all the way though

Monster projection for 5 hours, but not terribly overbearing
Don’t even need to worry about longevity on this one

If you like sweet tropical scents, this ones for you

A comparison with Prisma Topaz
Since it invariably comes up, I just spent the last two days doing a comparison of Prisma Topaz and City Rhythm Miami in samples from each company. (This is being posted to each of their pages here.). They are obviously quite similar but they are certainly not the same. To begin: Topaz is more floral and lime-forward and almost comes across as slightly a soapy floral. Miami is slightly sweeter and more coconut-y. There is a spot of floral but it is more diminished. And whereas Topaz is a more rounded and, objectively, is probably the better balanced scent, Miami is sharper, almost metallic/synthetic upon application. That may sound negative but it’s not at all: it gives Miami a life and zest. As they dry down, the fundamentally more floral nature of Topaz remains; it has far less coconut to it and keeps more of a lime/flower (camelia? gardenia?) presence. Miami, in dry-down, picks up a slight boozy rum quality over the coconut base, and although the tang diminishes it is still there. To sniff one against the other two or three hours after putting them on is to smell sibling scents – quite close, but, for me, Topaz remains flowery and Miami more resinous with rum and lingering coconut.

In terms of sillage and longevity, I found both to be about the same as to sillage. Topaz wins as to longevity. Miami is five or six hours in me. Topaz I could still smell 12 hours later - faintly but still there.

Bottom line: all in all, I enjoyed Miami just very slightly more – it has a tang and bite at first, which continues as it gets more boozy in the drydown. That’s not to say that Topaz isn’t a great scent, because it is (actually, they both are); nor is it to say that the two scents are not highly similar, because they are. Some might find Miami a touch synthetic and Topaz a rounder, fuller and better balanced scent. However, I’d think ultimately which of the two anyone might prefer would depend on their views of flowery scents versus more boozy drydowns or whether the person likes lime and flowers or slightly tangy coconut.

Hot construction kit
You take a dark, deeply aromatic rum cask. The inside is still wet and soaked with alcohol. You fill the barrel with plenty of tonka beans - just the right amount. Carefully selected light-colored flowers are added, wrapped in tobacco leaves and carefully placed on top of the tonka beans. The barrel is lit from below.
The tonka beans gently roast, caramelize and exude their warm, soft fragrance in fantastic harmony with the flowers, which are gradually dried by the heat. You blow ground saffron into the blazing flames, which smolders in the heat and releases its explosive aroma. The fire deprives the air of oxygen, the room heats up and becomes scorching hot. Tingling tobacco notes unfold their volume and tickle the nose. You cool the fire with creamy, thick, milky coconut milk. Finely grate the zest of a cinnamon peel into the mixture of flames, hot aromatic embers and coconut milk. The essential oils are released immediately and add the finishing touches to your creation.
That's exactly how the Miami smells to me.

City Rythm is a perfume house that few people in German-speaking countries have on their radar. This may be mainly due to its incredibly poor accessibility, especially in view of the high import costs, but the masterpieces that this niche house delivers across the board are difficult to describe in words and should definitely be experienced with your own nose. In my opinion, the fragrance compositions are not only characterized by the fact that they are incredibly complex and harmonious, created with a lot of creativity and a really fine eye (or nose) for detail. Rather, despite their complexity, the entire fragrance impression can always be broken down into its components so that they can be clearly identified. I always have a lot of fun doing this and, above all, learn to better understand the harmony of certain fragrances. Due to the complex creations on the one hand and the "puzzle" type experience described on the other, I would even go so far as to say that this niche house is quite good for learning and understanding and therefore also excellent for an introduction to the world of niche fragrances.

The Miami smells to me like no other fragrance to date - not even close. It's creamy and gourmand, definitely sweet and spicy but still fresh with a citrusy touch, so it's not at all sticky or heavy.
The base is an interplay of a dark boozy note in which a fine light tobacco is embedded. The combination is cushioned with tasty, sweet tonka bean so that it is not too harsh.
After several hours, a dominant saffron note remains alongside the long-lasting boozieness. For me, the Miami then smells mainly warm, spicy and salty. The tingle in the nose also remains.
The sillage is insanely powerful and the lasting power is a good eight hours, even with just one spray. This makes the fragrance extremely long-lasting and you really get more than enough for your money.

If you get the chance, you should definitely try it. One of my absolute favorite fragrances!

First sweet and light, then boozy and creamy
I blindly bought this fragrance on recommendation.
Admittedly, it is quite expensive due to shipping costs and customs duties, but the curiosity was too great.
Expectations were correspondingly high.
First test: The lime comes around the corner with a summery, tangy lightness. Followed by a light coconut note and sugar cane.
Airy, delicious and light, I thought to myself.
But then the beautiful thing happens. The already very pleasant fragrance takes on character and develops.
Creamier, rounder. More boozy, a little tobacco (I don't like it, but it's perfectly nuanced here).
Lime and coconut are still there, but recede somewhat into the background. Rum becomes more present, but still playing with the other notes.
The fragrance lasts well and I'm already ogling the other City Rhythm fragrances. If shipping is now even easier (without customs and cheaper), then it would be perfect.

I love Miami
I simply had to buy this fragrance because I just love Miami. I like to make connections with a fragrance and then remember it when I spray it on again later. That's why I took it with me on our trip to Florida, and what could be more fitting than the fragrance of the same name?
Immediately after spraying it on, the fresh lime comes through, fruity but also very slightly spicy (I suspect the saffron). Even though many people talk about coconut, it doesn't really come through for me, nor does the rum. In the drydown, the lime fades into the background and the fragrance becomes somewhat creamy, tending towards tobacco and tonka bean.

An extremely successful fragrance that I can highly recommend to everyone.
