Absolutely Stunning
I was lucky enough to spend two days with Faizal in Florence during Pitti 2025 and I smelled several ouds that he deals with.
One of the two was this one right here.
It left me speechless.
Initially, it is very syrupy and honeyed, reminding me of the olfactory profile of an excellent Cambodian oud. After a while, the mellowing process takes place and a profile more similar to a Chinese Hainan emerges, which I personally love.
Being aged, the typical scent of Hainan ouds is smoothed out and made softer.
For me, this is a 10/10 oil. Amazing and ultra-rare.
