Soft coffee
Fresh lavender and juicy bergamot conceal a mild coffee note peeking through. Woody, aromatic, and a bit earthy with a citrus top that bubbles with freshness and is surprisingly tenacious. Maybe picks up a faint smokiness as it dries down? Consistent moderate projection for 4-5hr, longevity 8-10hr.

I don't like coffee, but it's mild enough here that it doesn't bother me.

Sturdy coffee fragrance, strong and not too sweet
Happyland Dawnbuster is the most recent but most central of the existing coffee trio (the others being the leathery Cuir Café and pumpkin/maple-infused Homme for the Holidays) and perhaps the most agreeable, in that respect. It has a strong center of dark roasted coffee, complemented by labdanum, lavender, vetiver, and bergamot, with mostly the lavender and labdanum being noticeable, with a hint of resinous sweetness and the very useful modifier of lavender (as in the sweeter Bond No. 9 New Haarlem). Dawnbuster isn’t terribly sweet but it’s sweet enough, I’d say, for those that might find a coffee-dominant scent too abrasive but not wholly as sweet, as, say, Kerosene Follow, which I regard as the standard gourmand coffee scent in the industry nowadays

Like the rest of the house, Dawnbuster is very reasonably priced, at $55/42 for 50/30ml, sold directly through the Happyland site, and like the other coffee scents, it performs very well. I’d certainly recommend that fans of coffee fragrances check it out, along with the other coffee scents.
