Cumin, You Naughty Girl
Whenever I smell cumin, it always leans intimate. Almost a little naughty. In this perfume, the cardamom isn’t super spicy; instead, it adds a soft creaminess. My boyfriend said it smells like a concentrated Spirit Halloween store. A little attic-like, lived-in, and filled with mysteries.

femme fatale, but she’s nice and nothing bad happens to you
The dirty laundry cumin note fascinates me. Wear this to smell like you’re sweating because you packed a suitcase in a frantic hurry on a hot night and not because you made three unplanned transfers on the MTA. The violet lasts a long, long time. The cardamom and sandalwood round it out in a sort of indistinguishable but essential way; they make it smell like a perfume and not a violet pastille sandwich on rye.

I wore this to Orville Peck’s debut as the MC in Cabaret. Never has a perfume been better paired with an occasion.

The bottle is precious. I want to put the 15 ml one in my mouth.

sexy spicy weird violet
This is the weirdest, most polarizing violet in my collection (and I'm super fond of that note so I have several).
Cumin is quite strong, very strong on many skins... and somehow disturbing, reason why my husband kind of hates it.
I do like it anyway since it feels sexy, a tinybit dirty but in a traveled not annoying way.
It feels strange because the violet is deliciously sweet and springly but the spices (cumin -as said- and cardamom) make it nocturnal, daring... "svergognata"
I bought a travel size immediately after smelling it in Esxence... although not my uber favorite violet (or not the violet I wear everywhere and anytime) I do love it. It's unique

Catfished
I feel violated. Violette Kew opens like the most delectable violet candy, the ones that come in a tin. My mom carries them in her purse and will offer them to me from time to time. They taste slightly soapy, which I love. On paper, Violette Kew is just that, for approximately 5 minutes. I took the plunge and sprayed this on my wrist and neck.

"Ah, there's that delicious violet candy. Well, actually... I think it smells... bad? No, it definitely smells bad."

The scent changed so rapidly. Immediate days-old body odor. I've never had a perfume mutate so drastically over a couple of seconds. I washed it off and wore something else, but the smell was clinging to my room like its life depended on it.

This is one of those 'please try on skin before you buy' because the paper strip smelled inoffensive, but the skin test nearly took me out. It's an interesting take on violet and some might find it wearable, but not I.

Very violetty, very cuminy. For when you want to feel both very clean and very sweaty. I'm confused.

This smells exactly like Peeps marshmallow Easter candy on my skin.

Soft floral beautifully balanced with peppery cumin and cardamom, grounded by sandalwood. I love that the violet is not powdery! Love.

And here’s the oh so special surprise! An overdose of cumin makes the violet smell unpleasantly unwashed from the start.
