Oomph²
A musky opening, nice and harsh, with pungent hints, at times of ammonia, which partly remind me of those rough corners I smelled with Yaaseen's Tora Tora.
In addition to this, something urine-like, maybe hyraceum, can at times can be detected.
These edges are smoothed over a few minutes by the floral/aquatic touch of lotus, to which is added a citrusy flicker (Florida orange), and something sour fruity that veers towards syrupy/sugary (Michigan cherry).
Added to the whole thing there's the virginia tobacco too, creamy at the beginning, aromatic while at its zenith gives a nice smoky pattern in the background, interlacing with the castoreum which also seems smoky, then veering into the delicately leathery.
The oud is then added, very present, woody, with some slightly fermented traits, accompanied by an earthy/muddy scent (maybe a patchouli civet combination), to then reach the conclusion where there is something dry dusty (white ambergris IMHO).
The concept of adhering to the canons of a ghalia, surrounding it with American ingredients is an overall successful idea.
