Great mix of herbs, oriental and woody-spicy-smoky notes
I am surprised that this great fragrance has not yet received a review. It deserves it, especially since it has already been on the market for about 3 years. A few statements and a good rating here at 8.0 already indicate that this is already a very good release. I think the Ojar brand from the UAE is very underrated. They have a cool range that is not just exclusively oriental fragrances like other brands from Dubai. The fragrances Infusion Velours Eau de Parfum and Wood Whisper Eau de Parfum are somewhat more popular, while the others from this brand are often neglected. i also find Stallion Soul Eau de Parfum and this Ciel d'Orage Eau de Parfum very good, Stallion Soul is even my favorite of this brand. A high-quality brand that also sells body oil and perfume oil. The RRP for the EdPs may be a bit daunting at €200 per 100ml, but you can get most of them for half that price. This Ciel D'Orage is also currently available for half the price, which is absolutely fair for this quality.
The packaging of this brand is cool and not too voluminous, yet luxurious and quite niche. The bottles are also top-notch and very well made. The lid fits perfectly and the glass is high quality. The color combinations also look extremely classy. The atomizer is as smooth as butter and for me a 10 out of 10. In the overall package, including the P-L ratio, a great choice.
This Ciel D'Orage is already a multi-talent that combines many facets: wood, spices, herbs, rose, some oud, smoke, oriental notes, green nuances. And this fragrance is never too heavy and can also be used in warmer temperatures without any problems. The herbs and green notes give it a slight wellness touch. However, I primarily wear it in autumnal temperatures and also in the evening. It has a rather masculine touch and men are more likely to be interested in this fragrance. Nevertheless, this fragrance is not unbearable for women. The pyramid is only reflected to a limited extent and blind buys are rather daring. If you like herbaceous and spicy fragrances, there is a good chance that you will like this fragrance. Right from the start, you get herbs and spices with a slight oriental touch. A pleasant saffron spice, herbs, rose, subtle oud and slightly smoky notes can be found in the opening. It is never too heavy and never overwhelming. When the top note recedes a little, a great pine note comes through, which provides a great green and relaxing vibe. Beautiful guaiac wood also comes through well and accompanies this great spicy-herbal-green note. Leather also comes through well, but is more in the background. Very soft leather, which has a very sensual touch. Smoky styrax is also present and has a relaxing and slightly sweet vibe. The drydown is definitely very pleasant. Overall, a fragrance that has a lot of elegance and is far removed from the usual bestseller styles.
Performance is absolutely top here. It lasts well over 10 hours with a very good sillage that gives a relaxing vibe and is not overpowering. A carefree package, especially when you are out and about.
Worth a test here. As I said, you should like herbs, spices, light smoke, wood and oriental notes. A worthwhile purchase for half the price of the RRP.
