Oriental suitable for everyday use
Al `Ula is the second fragrance from Les Destinations that has moved into my home. I find the brand super exciting, but that's another topic. Al `Ula starts greenish, slightly earthy, minimally citrusy and fruity. After about 15 minutes, the fragrance becomes a little more floral and sweet, while the green-earthy notes fade slightly. Oud and patchouli are used in moderate strength, they are not dominant, but easily perceptible. I cannot distinguish clove and cistus. Rose emerges a little later, but never becomes strong. All in all, Al `Ula is a harmonious, slightly sweet, very slightly smoky oud patch fragrance with a delicate rose note that is easy to wear in everyday life. Nothing is intrusive or annoying here. I find it medium strong. The base notes used make it long-lasting. If you like layering, as I do, you can combine it wonderfully with Costa Rica from the same house, for example. The two complement each other perfectly.
