The leather that envelops you!
I picked up a few fragrances from an online decant site to test them out.
One of them was Nile Whispers. In my opinion, the bottle looks really good. Beautiful details have been incorporated into the bottle, with small pyramids set in sand.
Nevertheless, let's get to the fragrance itself - that's what this is about.
Nile Whispers starts with a blast of leather upon spraying, right in your face. A sweet saffron-date accord paired with leather. That's the opening for me. After about 5 minutes, the leather (fortunately) is no longer quite so overwhelming.
Still, there are slight farmyard vibes. Not bad, but not good either.
The cinnamon slowly rises and makes the fragrance a little more playful and cuddly.
For me, it perhaps has 10% in common with Dates Delight, but they are still worlds apart and, for me, not really comparable.
Otherwise, a beautiful musk and vanilla base remains.
Not bad, but not a fragrance that needs to move in with me.
