If Oud Satin Mood is turning heads at the gala, then this is at the local dive bar yelling obnoxiously in your face about how much it loves LAHVS ROZIS.

A more seasoned (or tactful) reviewer might call this a sweet and jammy rose. Not me. This is definitely a sweet rose, but it is obnoxiously heavy! Much thicker than any jam I’ve ever had.

Does it smell like Oud Satin Mood? Yes, but not in the best way. Where Oud Satin Mood is loud but sweet, this is Family Guys Kool Aid Man bursting through a wall obnoxious. Once you spray it, it’s here, and 2 days later….. it’s still there. Amazing price, better longevity and sillage, sadly not for me. Looking at my Oud Satin Mood sample I truly wished I enjoyed this the same way.

Because I don't just love this fragrance... I'm IN love with this fragrance.

Melodies of powdered rose and violet. Mesmerising, trance inducing, soothing and swooning, oh how intoxicatingly romantic this is. Aphrodite dances in its silage. This is for the lovers who wear their heart on their sleeves, the true romantics of this world. If I'd smelt this on someone, I'd swear they'd cast a spell on me.

For the price what you're getting here is unbelievable and somehow ended up being one of my favourites. It's very well performing, room filling almost yet airy and non cloying. I usually dislike how chemical smelling clones are but this one has no such problem for me. Greatest value fragrance I've ever bought

A few weeks ago, I bought the Oud Satin Mood body oil from my favorite perfumer, Kurkdjian.
Until then, I didn't know it as a perfume either; it was essentially a blind buy.
Upon the first application of the oil, I felt a thrill that I hadn't experienced with a fragrance in a long time. "Finally, I understand why everyone finds Oud so amazing," I thought. What a beautiful scent! Sweet, without coming off as cheap or girly. A mature sweetness. Despite the roses, I wouldn't label it as a typical floral fragrance. The roses are integrated in such a way that they come across differently and stand out.

After a bit of research, I quickly saw that there is an affordable dupe. I had to have it; the original is just too expensive for my taste, no matter how much I love it.

I let it settle for a bit. At first, I wasn't sure if it even came close to the oil scent.
Maybe it needed a short maturation period. Today, I can say: Yes, it is good and can stand on its own, and yes, it comes quite close to the scent of the body oil.
The price is incredibly good, a bonus. The longevity is also impressive, and the bottle feels high-quality.

I will probably stick to indulging in the oil from Francis and the scent from Ministry of Oud.

Actually, I'm not a fan of dupe fragrances. But still, I bought a few to test how close they are to the original.

And yes, it does smell like Oud Satin Mood, but there is one thing I have always suspected about dupes, and it has proven true here as well.

The original fragrances, which usually (not always) contain natural scent notes, affect people quite differently, in my experience, than the completely synthetic dupes. I don't know what your perception is on this topic, but I've been noticing this problem for years.

Oud Satin by Ministry of Oud smells exactly like the original. It’s truly amazing, as I saved hundreds of euros. I’m considering buying the other fragrances from the brand; for 20-30€, it’s worth a shot. Definitely a good blind buy! However, it’s not suitable for extremely hot days, as it can be overwhelming for others.
