could be more sophisticated

This fragrance is fairly simple for this line. While I adore cedar this one is kinda all cedar. If you're into a purely woody scent this might be what you're looking for. There's enough spiciness in it to pull it out of cedar chest territory. One should consider layering this with something fruity or floral to experiment. I wouldn't say this is a "night out" sort of scent but it might be fun for casual afternoon wear.

That Snowy Village on a Postcard

Aura instantly transported me into a winter world, but not quite the one I expected - and that was the best surprise.

Gatsby describes early spring snow melting into a clean, woody freshness. To me personally, it leans a bit deeper into actual winter: crisp, freezing air, smoky wood burners and a very comforting, nostalgic chill.
It reminds me of those real childhood winters: playing in the snow until your fingers go numb, coming home to the scent of burning logs.. I picture a snowy village square with ice skaters, smoke rising from chimneys and that beautiful mix of cold air and homely warmth.
So personally less end-of-winter and more middle-of-winter postcard charm: brisk, smoky, cosy and beautifully atmospheric. Even more interesting and nostalgic than the fresh forest vibe I expected.

I think Aura is a unique winter scent, deeply comforting and instantly one of my new seasonal favourites.
