Vanilla for adults
The fragrance was a blind purchase for me, or rather my husband made it for me after the scents appealed to me so much.
Anyone expecting a pure, sticky vanilla here will be disappointed. Sugary sweetness is definitely a long time coming here. The vanilla is mature and heavy, making it attractive and almost seductive. For me, the fragrance is strongly reminiscent of a day in the bakery, when vanilla extract was mixed with rum extract to create a delicious cake. Or the crème brulée that my uncle used to make for us at Christmas with Grand Marnier. So it's a nice reminder of days long gone.
It becomes softer in the drydown, the rum fades and the vanilla comes through more together with the tonka bean and musk. Rose and leather tend to stay in the background for me.
I can't say anything about the similarity to Vanilla Royal Sugared Patchouli as I don't know the original. However, compared to other Kayali fragrances, which simply fail every time in terms of price-performance ratio, I think the Paris Corner fragrances are definitely better. This one also lasts a good 5-6 hours on my skin and even longer on my clothes.
The only flaw for me is that the bottle is quite large and therefore doesn't fit in my perfume cupboard with the lid on. But that is of course a very individual problem ;)
