First of all - I don't know which person we have to thank for Paris Corner now being part of this community - but thank you for that - even if many will surely be cursing now ;-)
I want to keep this review a bit more general for those who are faced with the question "Original or Clone" when it comes to Kayali.
- Otherwise, feel free to scroll down to the summary if you don't feel like reading :-)
I am a big fan of Kayali, because even though this brand is often scoffed at by many connoisseurs here, it has delivered quite well, especially with the latest releases in terms of fragrance quality and craftsmanship, and has clearly improved in my eyes. Yes, these are not highly complex fragrances we are talking about, but for what they are supposed to represent, they are just very good.
To get to this fragrance - yes, you undoubtedly get
Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar | 42 in the air.
If you now move your olfactory center towards your wrist and compare both fragrances, you notice one thing immediately - and this holds true across the board for every single Kayali clone (from PC and family)
The Kayali fluffiness is not there! Mona's signature is missing.
Kayali manages time and again to incorporate heavy-sounding fragrance notes in a heavenly airy and fluffy manner. It's like folding egg whites into a rich batter - only that the batter remains nice and fluffy. And in my opinion, this is something Kayali does particularly well.
While still being elegant, happy, and adult, without smelling like something from the DM front shelf.
In summary - if you want a fragrance that has the same vibe in the air as the Kayalis, then you can confidently go for the Paris Corner fragrances. But if you value the little, fine, airy fluffy cloud - stick with the original. Or you can layer. This way, you actually get a few benefits regarding H&S.
This one comes closest to the original of all the clones, in my opinion.
PS: Mona could take some lessons in spray head design from PC, as they are really exceptionally good here.
