A fruity "good mood summer fragrance"
In my search for a new summer fragrance, my choice fell on Indomitable
The listed fragrance notes suggested a sweet, fruity-fresh scent that is perfect for the warm season. I was curious to see what awaited me, so I bought myself a bottle.
The fragrance starts very intensely with oranges and clementines that smell authentically of freshly peeled fruit. Very sweet, juicy and minimally tart.
As I have often mentioned, "Indomitable" also reminds me of orangeade - slightly tingling, refreshing and extremely fruity.
Apple joins in later on. However, the apple note is only perceptible for a short time and fades into the background again after a short time.
Unfortunately, the fragrance takes a turn in the drydown that I personally like less. Here, neroli and musk come to the fore, giving Indomitable a gently powdery yet soapy note that somehow reminds me of a citrusy bathroom cleaner.
The oranges and clementines remain in the foreground throughout the entire fragrance and are perceptible the whole time.
"Indomitable" is a fairly linear fragrance that does not undergo any surprising changes. I would have liked the fruitiness of the opening to last longer.
The longevity is unfortunately only moderate. After just a few minutes, the fragrance loses its intensity and after 2 to 3 hours is only skin-deep.
In summary, "Indomitable" is a beautiful unisex summer fragrance that impresses with its fresh and fruity opening. A fragrance doesn't always have to be super complex to be special, but for me it still lacks that certain something.
