A Coffee Scent That Stands Out from the Crowd
"Date Caramel" is a fragrance that I was able to test right after its release.
It is supposed to be an alternative to "Sticky Dates | Lush / Cosmetics To Go," which I haven't tested yet. Therefore, I was even more curious about what to expect.

Right after spraying it, I was surprised.
The first and most intense note I perceive is licorice. A scent of sweet wood and anise that reminds me of a very sweet licorice stick. I've noticed this phenomenon with other fragrances that have coffee and caramel in the top notes. For my nose, this combo seems to create a licorice note.
This note remains present but softens as the coffee with a slight roasted aroma becomes more prominent. This coffee accord also has something of coffee liqueur for me - slightly boozy, but also extremely sweet, creamy, and rich.
Added to this are dates and oranges. The orange gives the fragrance a fruity nuance, while the dates add extra sweetness.

It is difficult to describe Date Caramel as the notes blend perfectly together.
When I spray it, I feel it has a certain density or a kind of "thick" consistency, which I would describe similarly to caramel syrup if that comparison makes sense.

The fragrance is relatively linear and changes little from the opening to the dry down.
Coffee, juicy dates, and very sweet sticky caramel dominate the entire scent progression.

The longevity is very good. With just a few sprays, I perceive it intensely for many hours. In the first hour, the sillage is above average strong.
The price-performance ratio is also top-notch, as the fragrance is now available at a low price. The value you get for it is almost unbeatable.

Date Caramel is a unisex fragrance with a tendency towards the feminine, but it can also be worn well by a man who enjoys very sweet gourmands.

I liked the fragrance immediately because it stands out from the crowd of other coffee scents. The sweetness of caramel and dates combined with coffee creates a very delicious gourmand.
The very good performance also convinced me right away, so a bottle was allowed to join my collection.
Even if you like coffee fragrances, I would still recommend not buying Date Caramel blindly, but testing it first, as I believe it differs from other coffee scents.

Sweet Date-Mocha Liqueur
Once again, a blind buy for me. But I had already smelled Sticky Dates, which this scent is said to resemble, and since I love sweet gourmand fragrances, I was convinced: I can't go wrong here. And it's true. I did everything right. Because Date Caramel reminds me of some wonderful candy or a liqueur.. I just can't place it. Every time I spray it on, I sniff my arm all day and can't figure out what the scent reminds me of. Some kind of candy? Liqueur chocolates? Tiramisu? Rum balls? Those sticky caramel toffees? Mocha elegance? Amaretto? A shot of B52?

I hope one day the AHA moment will hit me and I can say: Yes, that's what Date Caramel has reminded me of all along!! (When I remember, I'll let you know).

In any case, I find it a very special scent. Therefore, I wouldn't say: Anyone who likes sweet gourmand fragrances can buy it without hesitation. I actually believe you either love it or hate it. I also don't know what this alcoholic rum note means for me. I guess it's the combination of orange and coffee. I can also perceive the date very well. It is warm, dried, and soaked in a lot of sugar.

Date Caramel has something very deep, smoky, and intense for me. The spice and depth remind me a bit of licorice, similar to the Vanilla Latte from Gulf Orchid.

The caramel note is also rather dark, almost slightly burnt. Due to these spicy and, for me, boozy notes, it is definitely unisex. Especially towards the end, it is no longer sticky sweet, but warm-spicy. The coffee also becomes a bit less pronounced, but the top notes are still noticeable until the end.

I think anyone who likes lightly boozy coffee scents like Amore Caffe and isn't afraid of a hefty dose of caramel and smoke/spice can be just as happy with Date Caramel as I am!

The sweetest scent I know (gives me Amore Caffé vibes)
There are fragrances that cannot be described 100%, you just have to smell them.
For me, Date Caramel is one of those fragrances.

I don't find the name "Date Caramel" quite fitting.
I don't smell dates at any point.
When people think of dates, they surely think of Khamrah, but the DC goes in a completely different direction.
It is compared to "Sticky Dates | Lush / Cosmetics To Go", which I unfortunately never had under my nose.
Nevertheless, there are two fragrances that it slightly reminds me of, Amore Caffè and Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee.
It is not a dupe of these two fragrances, but the coffee in it is somewhat similar to the coffee in Mancera, and I only know this syrupy sweetness from Vanilla Toffee.

But how exactly does Date Caramel smell? It is a very linear scent. What I smell in the opening stays the same until the end.
I think that's great, as I fell in love with the opening and hoped it wouldn't change drastically.

Without looking at the notes, I almost simultaneously smell: licorice, very sweet caramel syrup, coffee with a lot of sugar and cream on a chocolate cake, if that even makes sense.
I only perceive the orange up close, not in the air.

It is a super sweet, sticky, heavy, creamy-sweet scent that makes you feel like you've gained two kilos just from sniffing it.
I've tested or owned many sweet fragrances, but I've probably never smelled anything this sweet.
But this is not meant as criticism, because that's exactly what makes it so amazing in my opinion, as you smell like a walking snack, simply irresistible.
Despite its remarkable sweetness, I don't find it alcoholic or synthetic at all.
However, I do perceive something very slightly boozy.

The performance is amazing!
Especially in the first 1.5 to 2 hours, CD is almost a beast.
After that, I become a bit nose-blind. But even after 7 hours, I was told that I smell good and that I can be perceived from two to three meters away.
And it didn't even have time to mature; if it does mature, then Shaghaf Oud Eau de Parfum has a new competitor for the title of strongest cheapie.

Unisex? Or can we men wear it too?
Definitely unisex, but it leans slightly feminine (W60%/40%).
So as a man, it is definitely wearable!

My conclusion: I didn't expect anything here and was pleasantly surprised.
It has become one of my favorite fragrances.
I even own two backup bottles now because I find it so wonderful.
However, I wouldn't recommend buying it blind.
You have to like something like Amore Caffè in sweet and caramel notes and generally probably be more of a hardcore gourmand fan.

Love at Second Sniff
When I first sprayed the fragrance, it almost overwhelmed me. An explosion of dates, spices, and coffee... (I personally don't smell any orange)... somehow nothing seemed to fit together, it was all too much.. I really had to "endure" the first half hour... and then suddenly everything came together wonderfully. My boyfriend said, "What smells so good in here?" ..and he is really very sensitive to perfumes. The longevity is fantastic for me, I couldn't stop smelling my arm all day... I think it's a love or hate fragrance, I absolutely love it! The sillage is already enormous with two sprays, better to dose carefully, otherwise it overwhelms the surroundings... I like it much better than the Molton Caramel... (that one just smells the same from start to finish)...

The date comes through well in this; it has the same sticky quality that real dates have. Incredibly sweet and syrupy, with a bit of booze.

At first, I smell a liqueur note, a bit of licorice. Then it transforms into a soft coffee date dream.

Smells just like a Malaga sundae.. I smell rum-soaked raisins (probably dates here), caramel notes, vanilla. Interesting.
