The sweetest fragrance I know (gives me Amore Caffé vibes)
There are fragrances that you can't describe 100%, you just have to smell them.
For me, Date Caramel is one of these fragrances.
I don't think the name "Date Caramel" is quite right.
I don't smell dates at any time.
I'm sure many people think of Khamrah when they think of dates, but the DC goes in a completely different direction.
It is compared to Sticky Dates, which I unfortunately never had under my nose.
Nevertheless, there are two fragrances that it reminds me a little of, the Amore Caffè and the Shaghaf Vanilla Toffee It's not a dupe of these two fragrances, but the coffee in here is a bit similar to the coffee in Mancera and I only know this syrupy sweetness from Vanilla Toffee.
But what exactly does Date Caramel smell like? It's a very linear fragrance. What I smell in the opening stays that way until the end.
I think it's great, because I fell in love with the opening and hoped that it wouldn't change drastically.
Without looking at the notes, I smell almost at the same time: licorice, very sweet caramel syrup, coffee with lots of sugar and cream on a chocolate cake, if that makes any sense at all.
I only notice the orange up close, not in the air.
It's a super sweet, sticky, heavy, creamy scent that makes you feel like you've gained two kilos just from sniffing it.
I have tested or owned many sweet fragrances, but I have probably never smelled anything so sweet.
But that's not meant to be a criticism, because that's exactly what makes it so cool in my opinion, because with the DC you smell like a walking snack, simply mouth-watering.
Despite its considerable sweetness, I don't find it the least bit alcoholic or synthetic.
Nevertheless, I can very slightly detect something that smells boozy.
The performance is mega!
Especially in the first 1.5 to 2 hours, CD is almost a beast.
After that I get a bit scent-blind. But even after 7 hours I was told that I smell good and you can smell me even from two to three meters away.
And it hasn't even had time to mature, so when it does, Shaghaf Oud Eau de Parfum will have a new rival for the title of strongest cheapie.
Unisex? Or can we men wear it too?
Already unisex, but slightly feminine (W60%/40%).
So definitely wearable as a man!
My conclusion: didn't expect anything here and was pleasantly surprised.
It has become one of my favorite fragrances.
I now even own two bunker bottles of it because I just love it so much.
Nevertheless, I would not recommend buying it blindly.
You have to like something like Amore Caffè in a sweeter and more caramelly version and probably be more of a hardcore gourmand fan in general.
