Ice-cold opening, sunny transformation, woody finish.
A scent that I cannot clearly categorize. Despite years of "sniffing" and quite a bit of olfactory experience. Somehow difficult despite its transparency and lightness.
At the beginning fresh and cool, almost icy like "snow air" in early February. The citrus fruits and jasmine may contribute to this. Then, over time, a transition to spring. Violets make their appearance, certainly also primroses with flowery "sunny" notes marking the start of the warmer season. A little later, delicate fern fronds unfurl, lavender begins to bloom along with early jasmine. Fresh mornings, warm afternoons, early summer. Woods come into play. Shady forest in midsummer. It lasts longer than expected. Until autumn slowly shows itself, vetiver - bright, herbaceous, earthy, its olfactory representative.
Bright, cool musk as a transition to winter. Is the cycle of the seasons starting anew?!?!
The "cold" from the beginning, slightly altered, re-emerges. Only to transform again. A slightly different spring, summer, somewhat altered autumn... now I wait for the third "winter"... Subtle, peculiar, hard to grasp, this scent. It was definitely worth a try! ;-))

Transformation Wonder
In my last swap package, I found a sample of this fragrance. I wasn't familiar with the brand and was therefore very curious about what to expect. In short, the scent was tested immediately. I quickly applied it to my wrist and took a sniff. But oh dear, what wafted towards me was unfortunately not an olfactory delight for my taste, but rather a mix that was too green, too herbal, too bitter, and too woody. I find BetariceA's comparison to "Untitled" very accurate. No, not a scent for me, unfortunately not my type. So I set the sample aside for the "May Continue" sample box. I then focused on the other fine samples and the swap fragrance more intensely and initially forgot about the one I had just tested. After about 15 minutes, I was done with everything and wanted to place the sample in my sample box, but first I wanted to evaluate it here. I quickly opened this page and was astonished to find that this fragrance was rated very highly, that the scent notes should actually fit my profile completely, and oh dear, it was also said to be a twin scent to "Bal D'Afrique," which I have been eyeing for quite some time. That couldn't be right, because the scent from the sample had nothing in common with the Byredo fragrance. So, I sniffed it on my wrist again and I was blown away. Was that really the scent from the sample? Indeed, it had made a 180-degree transformation. No longer herbal, green, and bitter, but subtly citrusy, floral, underlined with musk and a hint of wood. Wonderfully soft, warm, and comforting. A really lovely and pleasant cozy scent, but also great for summer due to the light neroli note. It's a shame that I only have a small sample.

Herb top note, reminiscent of "(untitled)". Becomes milder over time and feels like a cool lotion.

A beautiful citrus scent, with a hint of neroli, exciting spice. Delicate warmth, tempered by musk. Bal d'Afrique without heaviness. Top

Definitely smells like Bal d'Afrique, less Caribbean, more clean-fresh-pure, another RP that I really like, summer vibes :-)

Citrusy-fresh start, but it quickly becomes very creamy.
There’s a similarity to Bal d'Afrique, but I clearly prefer the Byredo!
