The Cool Har(t)zer with Cash
First of all, I would like to clarify that this review will not be a comparison and vs race. Because it is obvious, clearly the Privé No 1 is a dupe to Christian Dior's Bois D'Argent. However, I haven't smelled the "original" yet, but I've been told that the scent is very, very close to BdA. So, that must be enough.
Now for the Privé No 1 Intense. I'll be honest, I sprayed it on for the first time and was immediately flashed. A woody, smoother but still clear and cool scent comes to your nose. With a lot of depth! I also find that it's hard to pick apart and describe this scent in detail. It kind of makes an overall impression, a damn good one! If you were to deconstruct it, the main notes for me would be resins, woods, some sweetness but very restrained, and something metallic. It just smells classy and expensive, which brings us to the next point. The No 1 smells like money. Really cash. I never would have thought of this before, but after hearing it once I thought, dude STIMM. To me, it's now the quintessential money scent.
Privé is perfectly balanced for me. No note interferes or goes down. Simply perfectly tuned.
Durability and sillage are in order. Not overly strong but also by no means weak. Good midfield just.
Conclusion:
The Privé No 1 has quickly become one of my favorites, however, if I want to wear it, I must have Bock on it. So it is not an "always walker". But if you appreciate him and intuition says: today he will be, then he is just hammer. For me, it's more of a late winter to spring scent. It has a certain coldness due to the slightly metallic, but also a warmth, due to the woods and the sweetness, which want to stand up to it all, but don't quite manage it. Thus, for me, it remains a scent that tends to be rather cool with nice resins to put in it. Simply good.
