So Pure Women s.Oliver 2017 Eau de Toilette

My sister has been giving me fragrances from S Oliver, Mexx, and the like for several years now. This must be the punishment for having kept my extensive collection a secret from her until now. By now, she should have noticed that I own a fragrance or two, as she often complains about my scent choices - she is very sensitive (but wears that awful Eternity herself).
However, I don't want to bash the fragrance or this type of fragrance. Before I became a perfume junkie and developed a refined or dulled nose, I could actually appreciate these very light scents. Not everyone is as crazy as we are. For me, these are everyday fragrances. For people who just want to feel fresh and well-groomed in their daily lives, without taking any risks of offending someone or bothering anyone. Certainly better than an overdose of Angel in a cramped office or something like that. So they definitely have their right to exist.
Now to the specific fragrance - it smells a bit citrusy, slightly fruity, woody, and lightly sweet. I can't describe it any closer. It smells pleasant, nice, but nothing special. Would I wear it? Sure, if I didn't already have a closet full of fragrances. Because there would definitely be better alternatives from my collection. A Versense, for example, which might be somewhat in the same style, is simply miles better. So in the end, I don't wear the S. Oliver.

Today I tried so pure and I was transported back to my childhood.

This scent reminds me of my mother's ironing sessions, where she tackled the numerous dress shirts with skilled hands and an ironing aid spray.

I found this scent of cleanliness and fresh flowers irresistible - and also calming.
It reflected the smoothness of the clothes after ironing.

The radio played the latest hits softly - and alongside it, the hissing of the steam iron, emphasized by the metallic clicking when my mom set it down on the rack.
She gently hummed along to the melodies - and life was orderly and perfect.
I could never fall asleep better than in this calm atmosphere of cleanliness and order.

Times are no longer so well-ordered - and my mom is no longer here - but the poem she recited to me not only while ironing comes to mind:

If life ever seems rough to you,
be still - and do not despair.
The time, the old ironing lady
makes everything simple again.

Recently, I found a sample of So Pure Woman by S. Oliver in a magazine. With not very high expectations, I tested this fragrance, here is my assessment:
The fresh-fruity apple note at the beginning and the further development of the scent strongly remind me of Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana. However, it lacks the sparkle of the original; So Pure leans more towards the sweet side, having a - how should I describe it - milky or creamy note. So, not that I want to be misunderstood, the scent is not bad! But it is just boring and annoys me over time.
The longevity is quite good.
Conclusion: A rather nice fragrance, but being nice just isn’t always enough!
