Very much pleasant

This perfume doesn’t smell musky or of body odor on me. It’s woody, yes, but also quite creamy. The caramel sweetens the wood, which makes it wearable for any occasion, in my opinion.
I don’t think it’s overwhelming at all, but I am mindful as to how much perfume I spray for an occasion. That could be why.

I think it’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t normally like wood-based perfumes, but this one here is incredible.

The only thing I notice at first that is odd is the smell of pickle juice at first spray. It goes away very quickly. That’s when the creamy sweetness begins.

Woody, resinous, semi-sweet/smoky/spicy blend, well put together

Scents of Wood Sandalwood in Oak is an appropriately more woods-focused blend that nonetheless has a boozy aspect from the aging process in barrels that inspires the scent and many others in the house’s now-rather-extensive catalogue. Sandalwood mixes with guaiacwood, sage, burnt sugar, pepper, and vanilla. It’s a bit resinous, slightly sweet/smoky/spicy, all while having the blend of woods as its main centering characteristic. There’s a vaguely syrupy, peppery gourmand quality to it even though it’s far more a woody/smoky/resinous blend. As with the rest of the house’s creations here, the quality is very high and the performance above average, even at this price point and for a generally cool-weather-leaning scent.

Like the rest of the line, the current full bottle 75ml pricing is $240. The 10ml size that I bought is now priced at $55, formerly $38, so a sizable increase, albeit now with a nice box, but I still quite prefer the option of buying the smaller size as a form of both an extended test as well as travel size, particularly if the only other option is a bottle that’s $200+.

Good night woodsy scent

This woodsy and musk filled scent is not a traditional crowd pleasing smell, but would suit the person who enjoys sandlewood, musk, deep scents. It works well for the night. It does throw and have a sillage that is wide and longlasting, it is not a subtle office place scent. I would recommend this for a night out, and for a personality that doesn't mind standing out being a bit controversial. ie My dad doesn't like musk in most perfumes, he correlates musk and Oud with BO. so not everyone will like this scent, and not everyone will like YOU wearing it. But I am very happy with this scent and I enjoy the smell and wearing it.

Dry woods and warm musk

Dominated by relaxing dry woods and warm musk, this is exactly the kind of cozy, meditative, androgynous scent I gravitate toward for every day during the colder months. In the fall and winter, if I don't have the energy to think about what I want to smell like, I wear something like this. Boy Smells Woodphoria was previously my top choice in this category, but I haven't tried the reformulation yet, so it remains to be seen whether it still is. If not, this is easily my next choice. I would say this one is a little heavier on the woods and therefore reads slightly more masculine than Woodphoria, which to me is completely genderless, but both are solid options for my fellow woods appreciators regardless of gender or presentation.

Atmospheric Woods

This has a nice warm woody and nutty accord. It might remind me a bit of Jo Malone's English Oak & Hazelnut., Something about this also reminded me of Skylar's Fall Cashmere, which I don't actually like as a personal fragrance but which makes a great room fragrance. I think this would also make a great room fragrance.
