Instant love!

Ive been thinking of testing this for a while, but the rating and some reviews put me off. Well I’m so glad I decided to order a sample, because I loved this as soon as I smelt it. Ive also sampled Soho Extrait de Parfum (no coconut, just heavy cardamom, oud and tabacco) , which I nearly blind bought based off ratings and reviews and have to say I don’t like that one at all! Coco Loco is a winner by a long shot! I’m addicted!

Coco Loco Extrait de Parfum is a beautiful, light wearing, chill out vibes type of beachy scent. I do get Lily of the Valley in the opening, but shortly after you’re left with a beautiful mix of coconut with the other notes. I wouldn’t even say any one note dominates over the other. It’s just perfectly balanced. The coconut in this isn’t “dolls head” or plasticky in any way, it’s just beautifully done. It is only slightly powdery with a bit of a suntan lotion smell (in the best way). Nars used to make the most divine Monoi oil called “Body Glow”, which I was completely obsessed with for years until they discontinued it. Coco Loco reminds me somewhat of that divine scent, maybe not as good but close enough! It does create a soft, subtle scent bubble around you, making it perfect and easy wearing for summer as well as high heat. I love it!

Something between Werther's Original and Tanning Accelerator

...a truly dreadful scent in my opinion. It reminds me of the typical smell of skincare products for tanning bed users from the 90s combined with Werther's Original melted in the sun. Personally, I can't relate to this kind of "synthetic summer" at all. The top notes overpower everything. This is not how a coconut smells! Maybe coconut flavor drops or that white coating around Haribo licorice rolls. As expected, this penetrating smell has an above-average longevity that forces me to wash it off.

Summer Fragrance

In search of a beautiful coconut scent, I ultimately ended up with Coco Loco Extrait de Parfum and ordered it blind.
The delivery time was surprisingly fast, well, that doesn't matter for the scent!
Coco Loco Extrait de Parfum starts very similarly to "Monoï Eau des Vahinés (Eau de Toilette) | Yves Rocher," which I loved as a teenager. At first, this frustrated me because I didn't want a Yves Rocher dupe for that price, but after a few minutes, the scent gradually transforms, with flowers and a slight fruitiness joining the coconut... very nice! I eagerly wait to see what happens next and continue to sniff my arm at regular intervals! In the meantime, something creamy and powdery has joined in!
Test passed, completely infused with my new acquisition, I enjoy the evening and wake up in the morning with a lingering powdery creamy coconut scent.
Anyone who likes coconut and clean creamy scents should definitely give this a try; I find Coco Loco Extrait de Parfum to be a wonderful, elegant fragrance that never becomes overpowering, nor does it overwhelm you like coconut scents often do. Clear recommendation!
