Game, set, match
After the debacle that was "Torino23 | XerJoff", I have been on the edge with this collection as it remained predictable that Xerjoff would release T24 and T25 at some point in the future, given the brand is supporting the ATP tennis finals held in Turin, Italy at least until 2025. People just getting into niche will love scents like "Torino21 | XerJoff" and "Torino22 | XerJoff" as they are simple, grab-and-go style fragrances, yet as I traverse deeper into my journey, I struggle to associate with those fragrances. "Torino24 | XerJoff" is no different.
Opinions off two full-wears, incl. at the gym
As I mix and match my opinions from these two wears, I think it is safe to say that the listed mango note is fools gold. I saw another reviewer mention peach/nectarine and that is indeed what I am also getting as "Torino24 | XerJoff" opens as a peachy-fresh-fruity fragrance with prominent musk. The peachy tones are contrasted against a moderate mandarin note and the musks used are clean white musks, meaning they don't offer any overlap into Xerjoff's Erba Pura-style profiles with the blend quality on "Torino24 | XerJoff" being largely smooth. In terms of accords, the opening is essentially adjacent to the profiles of Afternoon Swim, Forever Love and Riviera Sunrise.
The first twist comes when smelling the fragrance on-skin where there is a well-pronounced soapy accord in the opening, given the fragrance's floral heart. This is also the part of the fragrance where I get some of the listed patchouli, offering up comparisons within the fruitchouli genre to sweeter alternatives like Gossip Night. However, the fruitchouli genre isn't where I would place this scent as the overwhelming feel is of a fruity-fresh-sweet scent, mainly composed of peach and musk with moderate floral tones. Within Xerjoff's catalogue this product could more-so be viewed as an alternative to "Accento | XerJoff" which is a very plain pineapple and musk fragrance.
Accords: fruity-fresh-floral-sweet
Relative to the previous installations, "Torino24 | XerJoff" returns to a more modern-smelling product, aligning itself closer to the first 2 installations of the series. However, the scent here will have a clear feminine lean and by virtue, isn't unisex like "Torino21 | XerJoff" and "Torino22 | XerJoff". In my opinion, "Torino24 | XerJoff" as a product is targeting the same utility and use cases as various fruity-fresh clean girl scents, e.g. Bal d'Afrique Eau de Parfum, with mostly spring-summer usability and light performance. The sillage is somewhere between "below average" and "intimate" even with 8 sprays at the gym with longevity appearing to land in that 6 hour area, mostly relying on the musks in that final stretch.
With all that said, "Torino24 | XerJoff" is my version of game, set and match as I will now be fully exiting this collection and offloading all 4 as the scent is yet another addition to the ATP Finals line that doesn't speak to where I am in my fragrance journey.
