This perfume is a beautiful "lipstick" iris fragrance. It is not too sweet, yet it still develops a subtle gourmand touch over time - presumably due to the sesame note (gourmand, though not in the literal sense, as it is more of a "YSBB" fragrance). The scent evokes nostalgia, as it reminds me of lipsticks from the early 2000s... simply beautiful. I find the iris note particularly well done here, and in combination with all the other notes, it positively shimmers throughout the entire development of the fragrance.

After sampling many "tropical cocktail/piña colada" and coconut scents, I have finally discovered the perfect piña colada fragrance for myself - with a multifaceted coconut note. You can perceive the nutty, milky, and creamy aspects of a sun-ripened coconut! The pineapple note is also sun-ripened, sweet, and juicy, and is still recognizable in the drydown. Beautiful.

The background story of this perfume is profoundly romantic. The scent definitely does it justice: it is poetic, has a melancholic quality, and a beautiful depth. It could be the fragrance of a fairy. It is powdery, soft, vintage, and very feminine. A classic through and through. The lady for whom the scent was created must have been very special.

This fragrance radiates delicacy and femininity. It brings joy at times, romance at others, and sometimes evokes a longing for a simpler time. You can tell that it has its roots in the past, yet it still brings a smile to many people's faces today - including mine! Like many scents from the "Les Legendaires" line, it gives you the feeling of being able to travel through time in your thoughts for a while.
