On the skin no, as a room scent fine
Okay, I should probably leave the rhyming to someone else....

I came to this fragrance as a blind buy (without having read about it beforehand). We are dealing with a fruity aquatic here. Not really my direction and probably one of the weaker scents from Spirit. Unfortunately, it doesn't develop nicely on my skin and after a rather sharp start, it strongly turns floral. So the bottle ended up in the bathroom and was punished with neglect....

... until the moment when my room spray ran out. Now it has become my favorite for this purpose. A pleasant freshness lingers in the air for some time without relying on the heavily used musk (which unfortunately often hits me directly in the stomach). The synthetic notes are also not as strong and piercing here.

On the skin, the fragrance has its rather below-average longevity and sillage that we already know from the Spirit line (I perceive it on myself for about 3-5 hours, but we know that scents we don't particularly like tend to last longer).

Head Notes Blender
The pyramid of Seductive Red reads exactly to my taste, and so the fragrance had been on my wishlist for a while. Unfortunately, I could never find a tester in the local drugstores (after all, it’s a 22 km one-way trip since a certain drugstore chain no longer exists). Out of frustration and also due to the affordable price, I was tempted into a blind buy even though I had read several times about BR vibes or comparisons to Cloud (cherry, almond, cherry blossom, and magnolia just sounded too good).

Now, let's get to the scent: The top note starts beautifully with cherry, which is blended with a light almond note... the pepper is left out. If the fragrance could remain like this for longer than a quarter to half an hour or if the flowers mentioned in the pyramid would come through, I would be completely satisfied, if not even happy. However, my skin throws a wrench in the works as a cedar note increasingly comes through until it takes over completely. So, here we are (unfortunately) at BR540 and similar... Unfortunately, I also don't perceive any further changes in the next good 6 - 7 hours that the scent lasts on me (sillage quickly becomes very close to the skin).

The bottle itself is a little eye-catcher from afar with its striking red color and also gives a very sturdy impression. I even have difficulty getting the cap off mine because it fits so tightly...

For those of us who find that BR540 and co develop wonderfully and love cherries, this is a great tip/cheapie from the drugstore area; for those of us who don’t, stay away or test first.

Sci-Fi from the 80s
Perhaps unimaginable for some, but there was a time when storage media were not USB sticks or SD cards… there were 5.25-inch floppy disks (some double-sided). The corresponding disk drives were surrounded by a plastic casing (at least the ones I know). When you sat in front of the computer for a long time, the casing would heat up and that particular smell would linger in the room.

This is exactly what you catch a whiff of here as soon as the (artificial milky) banana fades away.

A scent that I sometimes enjoy smelling, but could never use an entire bottle of, and I personally wouldn’t want to smell like this all the time. Not a crowd-pleaser, very idiosyncratic with high sillage and longevity. One of those scents in the "Flashback" category, like "Replica - Lipstick On | Maison Margiela." Only here, there are pixels and the great future in which so much will still be possible electronically that you can only stand there in amazement...

Breeze yes, but Hawaii?
Autumn is soon upon us, and the weather is becoming less pleasant. How about a little beach walk in Hawaii with a flower necklace around your neck and maybe a drink in hand? Or would you rather just sit in the sand and listen to the waves as the sun slowly sets and colors the sky reddish?

These are the scenarios I think of with the name Hawaiian Breeze, but does the scent deliver what the name promises, more or less?

I experience a fruity start with a lot of blackcurrant (which I wrongly associate automatically with LVEB) that is overshadowed a few minutes later by a citrusy freshness. I can very well imagine a light breeze at this point. But where has the pineapple hidden? Since I'm not a big fan of pineapple, it doesn't bother me.

The floral heart note is said to consist of rose, ylang-ylang, tuberose, and lily of the valley. So we don't find any typical Hawaiian floral representatives like hibiscus or orchid that come to mind first when thinking of the island. Tuberose and rose come through the strongest for me.

The base is rather classic with sandalwood, patchouli, and amber. A safe composition that doesn't hurt anyone but has already been done a thousand times before. Everything is well balanced, and thus no "damp earth" association arises, which often overcomes me with too much patchouli.

Overall, the scent feels rather synthetic to me. The H&S unfortunately cannot really shine but are in the good midfield. So, unfortunately, is the entire scent for me. Since production has apparently been discontinued (according to the information), this makes it even less attractive as a purchase candidate for me (as it is likely associated with higher procurement effort).

At this point, I would like to thank LisaHoneyBee, as I was able to test this scent thanks to her wonderful hiking letter.

No Sandman in a Kaftan
"The Merchant of Dreams" - this conjures up in my mind the image of the Sandman in a kaftan at a market stall like in Aladdin, surrounded by camels.

However, one must quickly say goodbye to this image, as we are dealing not with an oriental scent but with a woody-fresh fragrance.

The fragrance notes are quite straightforward, with no great confusion. Only musk can be found in the top note. I cannot explain where the freshness comes from.

In the heart note, we encounter patchouli and cedarwood. Here, the cedar clearly prevails, and the woody aspect comes through well and dominantly. Thankfully, a damp patchouli grave is absent here. The finish is an amber base. It doesn’t hurt, but it has been smelled often before.

A scent suitable for any season. Unisex, leaning more towards everyday wear than a grand appearance, with medium longevity and sillage.

My thanks go to Zerotonin for the participation in their traveling letter, without which I would probably never have had this fragrance under my nose.
