When a Fragrance Brings Peace
Anfas Salam is for me the fragrance that has become a lifeline on days when I stumble through the apartment in the morning like a poorly programmed household appliance.
The toast is charcoal on the outside, hope on the inside, the coffee tastes like an experiment without instructions & I stand by like an NPC without a daily quest, while the morning feels like a bad YouTube tutorial.
A spray of Salam & suddenly everything feels different… more peaceful. That’s also what “Salam” means. No morning chaos, everything is in harmony.

What does it smell like?
Salam starts sweet, but not in a sugar shock way, rather with a sweetness that has just taken a deep breath. It is soft, well-groomed & so mature that it quietly sighs when others overdo it.
Then floral notes stumble in, not clumsily, but in slow motion & with style.
Elegant, calm & with the self-assurance of people who never ask if they smell good, because they know they do.
The woody notes stand by like the responsible supervisor. They provide support, depth & that reassuring feeling of: “don’t worry, I know where the fuse box is.”

Longevity & sillage?
The fragrance has plenty of power, but behaves like a good butler: it stands there, makes an impression, yet without being intrusive. It spreads like a quiet, perfectly arranged scent cloud that fills every room without overwhelming.
I perceive it all day long, my surroundings do too, but no one panics and rushes out of the room. More like: “it smells good in here… who is that?” Spoiler: it’s me.

Conclusion?
Anfas Salam is not a fragrance for special days; it makes every day special.
Unisex, suitable for every season, always appropriate.
If I could only keep one fragrance, Salam would be very high on the list.
A fragrance for people who, even while waiting at the checkout, seem to have a plan, even if they are inwardly hoping to enter the PIN correctly.

Chocolate? Pff… I had Alter Ego in the 10th door
For me, Alter Ego 786 is the fragrance that shows up in the morning and says: Don't worry, I've got this for both of us.
And the best part: I pulled the sample from my 10th door in the Advent calendar, where it stands out so much that the other samples probably formed a jealousy support group.

The opening?
A wild, almost cinematic entrance:
Raspberry liqueur, saffron & cinnamon start off very warm, spicy & a bit wicked. A bit like a cocktail-drinking alter ego in a leather jacket (I hate cocktails).
The woody accords & a hint of nice oud add depth, dark elegance & a surprisingly noble note.

Longevity & sillage?
Here Alter Ego 786 shows what it can really do.
The fragrance lasts forever for me, almost like someone who uninvitedly brings their furniture into your place, rearranges everything & then happily throws away the key.
In my eyes, it's also a compliment-getter, as I got to experience today thanks to the great sillage.

Conclusion:
Alter Ego 786 is not just a fragrance you wear, it’s the version of you that doesn’t argue in the morning but delivers.
If you want to smell like someone who has their life under control, even when in the background the dishwasher suddenly sounds like a starting helicopter, then this is your fragrance!

The Scent that Can Bring the Sea
For me, 40 Knots is the fragrance that embodies the statement: “Of course I have a boat - it’s just not here right now.”
I wear it in the morning when I’m still half-asleep, stumbling through the kitchen, the toaster producing more smoke than toast & I restart the Wi-Fi for the third time because my router is obviously having an emotional crisis.
But as soon as the scent is sprayed, I’m already mentally on deck - one leg casually on the railing, espresso in hand, salty breeze on my face.
For a moment, everything feels like the Côte d’Azur on demand.

What does it smell like?
40 Knots smells like an exclusive day on a yacht.
It starts with a salty breeze. As fresh as a jump into the open sea.
Then the fig makes its entrance, creamy but very subtle.
In between, a warm, golden honey sneaks in, not sticky, but very charming.
And of course, green, aquatic notes flash through, like freshly mown grass at the dock of someone who calls their lawn “Felippe.”
And the wood? So noble that it needs its own savings plan.

Longevity & Sillage?
I smell it all day long - not intrusive, but present.
It doesn’t leave a huge scent cloud behind, but rather a subtle trail that says: “Someone here has taste - oh, that’s me.”
Perfect for the office, summer evenings, the harbor, or when I’m at the bakery pretending I just came from sailing.
And the longevity? Longer than your last attempt to “just pop” into the bar. In numbers, definitely 8-10 hours on the skin & several days on clothes.

Conclusion?
40 Knots is not a fragrance you just wear casually. It’s a statement with a bit of a swell.
If you want to smell like someone who always knows which way the wind is blowing, even if you’ve only set your fan to level 3 - then this is your scent!

Like a freshly ironed shirt that covers your excuses.
This fragrance is the olfactory version of "I've got my life together!"
You could wear it in the morning after drinking your green smoothie, checking your stocks & meditating for 20 minutes - Even if in reality you overslept, have coffee on your T-shirt & your Wi-Fi is acting up. L'Homme covers it all.

What does it smell like?
Like the guy who already smells of success at 7 AM while you're still trying to figure out if the beeping is from the smoke detector or your alarm clock.
Prada L'Homme smells as if you've washed yourself with soap that costs more than a Netflix & Spotify subscription combined.
Iris takes center stage, powdery & smooth like freshly laminated life goals. Neroli brings the freshness of a white shirt straight from the iron, pepper quietly says "I'm here too," but in a way that doesn't bother anyone.

Development?
The fragrance develops like a good day planner: clearly structured, no surprises, but everything fits.
The start is soapy, fresh & tidy - as if Mr. Clean is standing in front of you in a Prada suit.
Then… not much happens. And that's a good thing. The iris remains the main character but gets a bit of warmth from wood & amber.

Longevity & sillage?
Holds solidly without running a marathon.
You smell well-groomed until the end of the workday.
The sillage itself is more polite than intrusive: You don't leave a huge cloud of fragrance behind you, but rather a subtle "Wow, it smells nice here" effect.
Perfect for the office - in the club… well, unless you work at the reception and want to smell like fresh laundry.

Conclusion:
Prada L'Homme is the guy who never arrives late, always smells good & even puts his phone on silent - without showing off.
Like a guy who holds the door open for you without feeling important.
In short: If you want to smell like a sorted adult (even if you're still emotionally on Windows XP) - then this is your fragrance!

Fresh as the Sea, Unfortunately Ebbs Quickly
Turathi Blue is a refreshing fragrance that immediately impresses with clear, citrus notes while also bringing a warm depth. The first spray directly reminds me of sunny coastal regions - zesty, bright & invigorating.

The top note is citrusy, with bergamot & mandarin providing an instant freshness kick.
As it develops, a pleasant amber-wood blend unfolds, giving the fragrance body & character.
The composition remains elegant & clean throughout - never too sweet or overpowering.

Now I come to the big but:
Unfortunately, longevity & sillage are abysmally poor. Maybe it's just me or my skin type, but the fragrance lasts less than 4 hours on my skin, which automatically makes the sillage just as poor.
I would wish for a bit more presence here.

Overall, however, one can't really complain, as the fragrance costs just around €20.
My recommendation - as I do - is to order a small travel spray from Amazon & co. and carry it with you.
As soon as you notice that the fragrance is fading, just spray again.

“Smells like an expensive fragrance, but disappears as if it has something better to do.”
