cozy autumn scent
Imagine a day like today: It's cold outside, the leaves are changing color, there's a light drizzle, and little light. What could be better than snuggling up at home with a cup of tea, candles, and a lovely fragrance.
Natori fits wonderfully into this picture:

It starts with a slightly aldehydic note that strongly reminds one of fragrances from the 70s/80s. Natori from 2009 is also a reissue of the original from 1980 (which I unfortunately do not know).
In this reissue, the aldehydic top note disappears very quickly, almost like a homage to the old times. A brief flicker of rose and plum follows, nestled in a warm, gentle base note.

Over time, it becomes deeper and spicier. I especially perceive patchouli, and jasmine also comes into play. In the background, the rose/plum note still resonates.
Spread out on the skin, it is already a relatively heavy, seductive oriental.
I find it also perfectly matches those kaftans and robes that can be viewed on Natori's website (apparently, this is a lingerie company). A bit old-fashioned, not quite in tune with the times, but still somehow quite pretty, in my opinion.

Natori surprised me because even though I am not overly fond of aldehydes, roses, or patchouli, the interplay here creates a very pleasing fragrance. Normally, I am someone for whom patchouli often comes out so strongly that one might think I just emerged from a crypt.
Fortunately, that is not the case here ;-)

Conclusion: For those looking for something to snuggle up with and reminisce, Natori is the right choice.

at midnight in lemon land
Pour Toi has an interesting progression.

At first, I strongly perceive the berry note, and then the lemon comes in full force. It smells very fruity, sweet, and sparkling. It initially reminds me of those dreadful lemon lollipops shaped like a lemon that were sold in a big jar during my childhood, which always left you with a completely sore tongue. (Of course, only if you had too many of them).
This note remains somewhat present at first, and gradually a powdery note joins in. I can hardly identify where it comes from; for me, the flowers of the heart note are not individually present. The scent now reminds me of a skincare product, like an expensive body cream.

What started off so sparkling becomes darker over time.
It feels as if the night is descending upon the woman wearing "Pour Toi." Just moments ago, in a floral summer dress with her hair down, she now retrieves her elegant evening gown from the closet, puts her hair up, applies red lipstick, and loses herself in the vastness of the city.

In this phase of the fragrance's progression, I predominantly perceive woody notes, paired with a powdery creaminess. Yet the lemon lurks in the background, occasionally reminding of the afternoon sun, allowing the girlish aura of the wearer to briefly shine through, only to disappear again into the darkness of the night.

Quickie instead of Affair
This affair starts off, as my predecessor aptly noted, extraordinarily alcoholic. The skin gets really cool, you could probably use this little water for disinfecting too ;-).
I then smell almost nothing. I’ve already wondered if my nose doesn’t work anymore, but it really is just a hint of perfume that remains on the arm after a normal spray.
I find it rather soapy and musky after the alcohol note initially. For a brief moment, the tobacco emerges only to quickly sink back into this mishmash of white flowers and musk. I don’t specifically smell anything. It feels to me similar to being freshly showered with about the same intensity.
No projection, low longevity, and completely genderless.
I have rarely smelled such a generic little water. Usable for both men and women. Of course, I wonder why there is still a Love Affaire pour femme, which has almost the same notes. I must say, however, that I haven’t tested it and therefore can’t say if it smells similar.
Conclusion:
vague, weak, (sexless);-)

Star in the Oud Sky
All fragrances from Nejma are said to be similar, as they refer to the seven daughters of Nejma.
So far, I have been able to test the sixth fragrance and the fourth. And I find both similar in their smooth integration of oud.
Normally, I tend to steer clear of this substance.
But here, it blends wonderfully with the other fragrance components.

At first, there is indeed a certain freshness and fruitiness, primarily characterized by the peach for me. However, the oriental origin cannot be hidden; beneath the veil of the top note, a creamy, slightly spicy note quickly reveals itself. I particularly detect the sandalwood.

Unlike my predecessor, I perceive the oud as not particularly dominant, and the fragrance becomes more creamy than soapy on me.

Especially in winter, the Nejma fragrances serve well as soul comforters, transporting one to a distant, foreign world.
Where at night, wisps of fine incense rise into the sky. The seven daughters of the vizier, wrapped in fine silk scarves, their eyes deeply rimmed in black, their skin cared for with fragrant oils, swirl gracefully to dance.
And the crowd is enchanted by the graceful figures, just as I am by this fragrance.

Skin Caresser
The perfumes by Jul et Mad are inspired by encounters, love stories, moments.
Here, it is a brief moment, a reconnection with the gaze of a stranger, on a spring morning in St. Germain Paris from a café terrace. This moment inspired this fragrance.
I find it fascinating when such moments trigger bursts of creativity. I know this from my own experience as well. A brief moment, a pause in the daily routine can deeply impress and occupy me for the entire day, or even longer.

But now to the fragrance:
Love... yes, lovely, that fits it.
The perfume starts off briefly with a fresh, but also slightly spicy note, not zesty, and only lasting for a very short time. Then everything merges for me into sunshine on the skin, body lotion, dark sophistication.
I hope one can sense the scent I am trying to describe. For me, it is simply a creamy fragrance where the individual notes do not weigh heavily. Patchouli wonderfully underpins everything and prevents the scent from becoming too sweet.
Conclusion: floral, creamy skin caresser with all-day wear potential.
