Everything but Madamig...
I wanted to be in my late 20s when I first bought the fragrance. Back then, I associated Madame with something rather conservative and imagined a woman in a suit, high heels, and a pearl necklace with perfectly styled hair.
Madame hit my (fragrance) heart 100% back then; the scent reached me directly, even though it contains rose. Finding summer fragrances has always been difficult for me, but Madame was so pure, clean, and yet special - like freshly hung laundry on a summer meadow. I associate it with wonderful memories of an unforgettable time...young, independent, spontaneous, rebellious, loving, searching, sensitive, loving, creative, emotional, exciting, clear, different,...the fragrance fit perfectly back then and still does today, and it will always remain something special for me. Last week, a large bottle moved back in with me. I still find it fantastic and love this fresh, clean interplay of the individual fragrance notes.

Anise, Anise, Anise....only Anise
I do like anise, also pastis. And I was very much looking forward to the bottle from Sunnyland, as I had read the fragrance pyramid and description, as well as comments and statements about it, and was excited. I thought, this is exactly my fragrance direction. Heavy, spicy, and incense. But unfortunately, the scent on my skin develops only anise from start to finish; no liqueur wine note, no cinnamon, no incense, nothing fruity. It is a beautiful, warm scent without a doubt and fits perfectly into the cool season, but not on me, as it unfortunately develops too one-dimensional and has more of a quality of essential oil for the fragrance lamp rather than an exclusive niche fragrance. What is remarkable, however, is the longevity... it still smells like shortly after spraying even after 7 hours. I will test it again to see if it changes on the third try. Otherwise, the bottle will have to move on.

The concept fits...
This week I was in Munich for work. Of course, a quick stop at Ludwig Beck in the perfume and beauty department was planned. While browsing, my eyes fell on the presentation of the Jusbox fragrances. I find it very harmonious. The LPs in the background and then the fragrances displayed in colorful bottles. The bottle design is great. I like the look, and I was super excited because my partner is a musician, and I always look for fragrances that reflect this passion. Beat Café would have been a perfect birthday gift, as he was born in the 60s. Light citrus scents don't do anything for him; he needs strong fragrances with good longevity and sillage. The scent pyramid also appealed to me right away, as I also like fragrances with leather accords. Scents that evoke images in my mind, and whether Beat Café achieves that, I'm still not sure. It's a lovely fragrance, no question about it, but when I smelled it on myself, I missed a bit of something special, something distinctive/wild, that would make me want to buy it right away. Benzoin and cedarwood make it soft and velvety. However, when I first smelled it, I missed the spiciness. The pepper barely came through on my skin. For a fragrance that represents the 60s, I think it needs a bit more.
I will get a sample and test it again.

For me, pure femininity...
Tested last night....
Not this floral-floral femininity...but a scent that can be worn both with an elegant business suit and with rugged boots, a checkered shirt, used jeans, and a leather jacket. For me, the many different facets of femininity are highlighted or a contrast is created. That’s exactly what I like in a fragrance...Sandalwood, almond, and vanilla give the scent a sensual, enveloping, yes I even find it calming note...yes, one stands firmly on the ground, and in contrast to that are the pepper and cinnamon. This gives the 34 something challenging: look here. Here I am. Something cheeky, enjoying life. Running through the leaf piles, having a cappuccino while shopping, business meetings, romantic dinners, etc.. it fits always without being "ordinary." This is also due to the balanced sillage for me.
It was the right decision to choose it for a blind sharing. I will report back again.

Do I need a new scent? :-) No
This week I tested Kilian Princess again at the perfume store...and had to spray Cristallo di Rocca at home for comparison. Oh yes. Perfect weather for this beautiful, special, and enveloping fragrance. At the same time spicy, sweet, elegant...like a warming cashmere scarf....I can just picture such a thick checkered scarf while writing this...at first glance just a scarf....but it is the favorite scarf because it "enhances" every outfit and keeps you particularly warm. Involuntarily, I have an image of the rough Irish/Scottish sea in front of me. A long walk on the beach, wind, sturdy boots, crackling fire in a cottage, and to warm up a strong tea with milk, perhaps something sweet on the side. Cristallo is not just sweet, but like an apple crumble that should be enjoyed lukewarm with a scoop of ice cream, where you can perceive the different flavor notes like cinnamon, vanilla, and the various textures like the crunchy crumbs and the creamy-melting ice cream. And Cristallo certainly has a special depth with its smoky aspect and always something delicious for me from the scent of whiskey/rum.
