Summery Freshness
It's that time again.
Escada has a new summer edition... time for me to test it.
There are two of the summery scents that I always love to wear as staples and fair-weather favorites, and they instantly lift my mood.
Since the previous editions have become increasingly difficult to find due to their limited availability, I hope that with each new creation, I will find a potential successor for my mood boosters.
Unfortunately, the last two summer fragrances were a disappointment, and I did not add them to my collection.
Agua del Sol, however, has succeeded.
It is a fresh little fruit, and if I didn't know better, I would have bet on mango in the fruity opening. However, this is not included in the summer punch at all. Instead, there are several other fruits.
Raspberry, apricot, and citrus notes greet you and hold their ground until the end. Sometimes more, sometimes less synthetic, but never intrusive.
As the fragrance develops, the base notes of sandalwood, tonka bean, and white musk round off the very zesty mixture a bit.
As usual, the longevity is rather fleeting, and after 4 hours, you have to get quite close to the wearer to catch a whiff.

Welcome to the Candyshop
Uuuh, how exciting ... another candy. Can it be even tastier than the original?
It's like when Katjes brings out another new flavor.
Off to the store - buy a bag - haul the loot home - up on the sofa - rip open the bag and ... MjamMjamMjam
In this case, I would immediately spit the gummy bears or licorice back into the bag in protest
Where have all the good ingredients gone?
I was curious about the fresh fruity Limoncello Sorbet aperitif that was supposed to be the introduction to this dessert menu - but I must have come too late, no citrus components left for me.
I had adhered to the dress code. Freshly washed and without lotions - ready for the tasting
Instead, I got so much of the main course that I ended up with a headache - one ladle too much of synthetic flowers. No chance for side dishes
And what I found even more regrettable was that only a few pitiful remnants of dessert were left.
A hint of caramel, benzoin, and honey - what a shame

As much as I love the original, I am so disappointed with Candy Florale
Even though it sounds harsh, this fragrance composition smells like the air fresheners you spray when someone has "made room" after a lavish meal and wants to cover up even worse odors with intensity...

Transformable Lady
What a surprising scent journey the dark beauty provided me.
An extremely fresh and citrusy note of bergamot, an aquatic lychee, and a floral accent welcome me to this excursion.
At this point, I did not experience this fragrance as feminine, alluring, and desirable at all - rather as a sporty short trip.
But then the transformation began - just as we women do when we change from practical everyday outfits into elegant and breathtaking gowns for a special occasion.
Desire does this too... and reveals the many facets of femininity.
Just before the big appearance, as anticipation rises, I am accompanied by a mild floral aroma with sweet plum nectar - a bit playful and romantic.
But what excites me the most is the wonderfully balanced finish... the vanilla, the caramel, sandalwood, and musk - soft, wild, mysterious, and irresistible.
I keep having to smell myself, breathe deeply, and enjoy.
To my regret, the scent does not last too long, only about 3 hours, maybe a little longer.
Here, however, a little more can be applied without it being intrusive - it's at most an expensive indulgence.

Spring is not far away and I am already looking forward to it - fresh, cheerful, lively, new, and green

And that’s exactly how I would describe this fragrance - it starts fresh with citrus notes, aquatic and light. When it comes to fruity notes, I would most likely suspect berries and a green Granny Smith apple. I don’t perceive much honey, even though I would categorize the scent as sweet
A delicate floral aspect develops, whose bouquet clings to the wearer as a close-to-skin sillage, with a soft woody, slightly bitter finish and a friendly greeting from musk
My Honey is perfect for work, sports, and play - not a powerhouse in longevity and scent projection, but a lovable mood booster for every day.
Personally, I like it when a bottle shape is used for multiple fragrances and only varies in color depending on the content - it always looks harmonious and elegant in a collection - like with this classically appealing design of the Toni Gard fragrances.

Much Flower - No Fruit ...
After one of the Juicy Couture fragrances made it into my comfort zone, I wanted to give this brand and its products a bit more attention.
I admit that I passionately count these wonderfully soft girly tracksuits among my Sunday lounging outfits... you’re dressed enough to open the door for the postman without either party having to awkwardly glance aside - and yet it’s as wonderfully cozy as my pajamas... and yes, I also have one in pink with glitter on it...
However, this fragrance does not manage to make me feel comfortable in it.
I can briefly recognize the grape when I first spray it, but then the scent quickly transforms into a very floral mix - I would have bet that freesia or another very strongly floral component is included, but the ingredient list denies this.
Yes, jasmine also makes its presence known... along with sandalwood. Other components do not dare to come out of hiding with me. And does this perfume really contain vanilla?!
For me, the scent is nothing, far too synthetic-floral, "choppy," and somehow lacking depth.
But one thing is clear - the bottle can join my collection - it’s quite opulent and just oozes confidence.
