Nice but underwhelming

A decent smelling scent, delicious and thankfully none too artificial scent, opening with a quick burst of citrus, vanilla and lychee joining the caramel and after about an hour in, it settles into a amber/musk/wood base with the caramel and lychee still going strong. I would have wished for a stronger sillage and better longevity, after about half an hour it became pretty much a skin scent on me (it wasn't me going anosmic, other people used to strong perfumes radiating from me also commented on lack of scent). I'm not disappointed because it is a nice scent but I won't be getting another bottle after I'm done.

a bit too sweet for this gal

sandalwood? check! tuberose? check! a tangy fruit top note? check!

now this is more like it. the One was just meh but DESIRE is one sexy frag! i'm guessing the amber and the caramel "darken" it for evenings and although i'm not a huge fan of sweet scents, the sandalwood seems to blend everything together beautifully, rounding out any sharp edges so its not overtly sweet just quietly so.

ETA: after wearing this last night in the cold, this was actually way too "sticky sweet" for me personally. so just a heads up.

the black bottle and gold lettering are just visually stunning as well, this would make a wonderful gift. quite romantic.

Bitter citrus bite.

There's a hint of sweetness in the opening, but it settles into bitter citrus before fading away shortly after. Very, very little sillage/longevity on me - I couldn't smell it at all unless my nose was directly on my skin. I'm a big fan of tuberose, so I was hoping for more from this one, but I could barely detect it. The quality of this one reminded me a lot of Hypnotic Poison Eau Secrete by Dior, which was all citrus before dissipating almost immediately.

I love caramel candies - just not in my mouth.
I don’t like it when the hard candy clinks against my teeth and forms an intimate connection with the enamel.
My husband, on the other hand, doesn’t have these problems - he sucks on Werther’s Original all day long - and has teeth like a movie star.
But since I want to partake in the caramel aroma, I discreetly follow him and steal a kiss from him here and there.
He is, of course, aware of the background of my desire and reacts with feigned outrage.

Such incursions on my part will no longer be necessary, as I have discovered The One Desire.

Bergamot and lychee smile at me, and the lily of the valley is sweetly bitter.
The tuberose-jasmine combination is interestingly light-dark, rounded off with delicious plum.
The whole thing is wrapped in warm vanilla, refined with aromatic caramel.
A delicious fragrance blend that melts in my nose.
The sandalwood adds a touch of oriental depth, making the scent slightly spicy and smoky.

A delightful scent that certainly doesn’t lack expression - and is gentle on the figure and the teeth.

I will definitely get it - and throw in a bag of Werther’s for my husband on top.
P.S. The One Desire has now moved in with me - and it really is like a sweet kiss!

Dark Desire?

~ Inspiration ~
I stumbled upon this fragrance by chance when I was at the department store about a year ago, trying out "The One" (in the meantime, I bought it). A determined young, pretty woman walked next to me to the shelf and generously sprayed herself with the adjacent "The One Desire" - my curiosity was piqued!

~ Bottle ~
Here, the rectangular black bottle features golden lettering (exactly the opposite of "The One") and a black gemstone has been placed on the cap as a closure - it promises to be an elegant evening variant.

~ Scent ~
The top note is briefly citrusy with mandarins, bergamot, and lychees. The floral heart consists of Madonna lilies, tuberoses, lily of the valley, and jasmine. Alongside this, the well-known, deliciously sweet plum nectar joins in. A woody-warm base of sandalwood, musk, slightly spicy labdanum, and vanilla/caramel provides a sensual finish.

~ Longevity ~
Unfortunately, it only lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin (not much longer on clothes and hair). You can safely use 3 sprays, as it is very flattering and not overpowering. With over-application, it may become too dry and scratchy in the throat.

~ Occasion ~
A beautiful, creamy-woody-floral scent for the colder days and evenings in autumn and winter.

~ Conclusion ~
You can undoubtedly recognize the "The One" character.
However, it is not quite as sweet, a bit darker and more elegant. It also smells a little like honey (probably the combination of plum nectar with vanilla). The dry woody note in the base bothers me a bit :(
