The Devil Goes Blue
Right from the start, I ask myself how does devil, cool, and blue fit together? That’s probably something everyone has to figure out for themselves.
The packaging is still stylish and tasteful, as one would expect from this house.

The scent itself...
Is absolutely pleasant, doesn’t clash anywhere, and can be worn anytime and anywhere. I find it worth highlighting that, as many fragrances do not have this quality.
The opening is very citrusy. No toilet bowl cleaner opening, which is another positive aspect!
To be honest, I don’t really notice much from the heart note. The often-mentioned creaminess that develops after a few hours is more due to the base. After about 4 to 5 hours, the magic is over. Overall, the fragrance remains quite linear, but manages to bring a certain elegance.
Longevity/sillage I would place rather in the lower midfield. The comparison might be a bit off, but a Prada Homme Eau de Toilette has a very similar performance.

What I find rather unfortunate is that its younger brother Casamorati - Mefisto Gentiluomo smells almost identical. Surely there are certain nuances for trained noses that make the difference, but these are marginal and do not justify a standalone fragrance.

Moon Essence
A fragrance that is so simple yet so exciting! Linear and yet so entertaining. It fits more seasons, occasions, and goes in more fragrance directions than there are ingredients represented. The base is right, let the journey begin...
Imagine someone standing in the Xerjoff store, testing countless fragrances for hours and choosing Apollonia for themselves. None of the loud comrades on the shelves could really draw attention or weigh the decision.
What makes you so special? It’s the moment when this fragrance rises to the nose. That brief moment when the spark jumps and triggers a pleasant feeling. It would be presumptuous to try to describe how this fragrance smells. The only thing that comes to mind is... a freshly cleaned stone staircase on a cool morning. Many will now raise an eyebrow and wonder... what? Other noses will know exactly what I mean! As mentioned at the beginning, Apollonia is absolutely linear and clean, and that’s a good thing! Like a tailored suit that leaves a perfectly harmonious overall impression from head to toe. The performance is also impressive, even if the fragrance never becomes loud. It doesn’t conquer rooms, but rather captivates nearby individuals. One could almost say that it radiates a certain strength through its calmness. Yes, even untrained noses perceive this harmonious composition. It stays in their minds since one rarely encounters something like this or anything comparable in everyday life, or even a fragrance that goes in this direction. Less is more? This is completely true here! Oh, I also need to associate something with the moon theme now.
Warning: Xerjoff naturally charges moon prices for Apollonia. Considering this might cause some people to do a moonwalk out of the store.

Washed-Out Raspberry
It must have been around 2011 and one of my first fragrances. Back then, I stood in front of the Douglas shelf full of Creed bottles and had fallen for Creed Santal. When I saw the price (today we would fight over it), I quickly averted my gaze...
Then I heard about Mont Blanc Individuel as a substitute and found it to be a great alternative without having to leave the store with a tear in my eye.

At this point, I would like to mention that production has NOT been discontinued. Sometimes it’s harder to find, and sometimes you can get the fragrance for a throwaway price. I had a similar experience with Missoni Wave.

However, Individuel has already undergone several reformulations, and my recently purchased bottle brings back some memories, but with a distorted image.

I remember it being much fruitier (raspberry) and a bit longer-lasting.

As several previous reviewers have aptly described, it is now noticeably "cleaner." Not bad at all, but it used to be better. Otherwise, you can't really go wrong with this fragrance - it fits almost any occasion, any season, and you won't offend anyone with it. At least you still smell like Individuel, as it flies under the radar among the masses.

The Relaxed Hothead
Yes, okay, the title doesn't really fit at all. Or does it?
Wouldn't it be great if choleric outbursts affected us like gentle music?
At least that’s not how it works in the real world - but apparently it does in the world of fragrance.

I need to elaborate a bit more on this...
Once upon a time, there was a day when the delivery person stood at my door again, bringing me a new fragrance.
I really should start reducing the frequency of buying new scents. But I'm on a good path, yes indeed!

Yes, unboxing is always a joy. Xerjoff doesn’t skimp on presentation. With Accento, it’s a bit more understated, not the typical and popular faux leather case.

Well, that's a bit of a shame, but the focus is primarily on the scent, and the bottle dressed in velvet is the real gem and highlight.

With a test strip in hand and a discreet spray later, I wanted to get my first impression.
The strip wasn’t even necessary, as the scent fills the room, occupies it, and apparently has no intention of leaving anytime soon. So there I stood in the cloud, and my sense of smell was a bit overwhelmed. So let’s wait a few minutes, make ourselves a coffee, and then approach the scent again.
The listed pineapple comes a bit undercover, as it hides in a bouquet of flowers and is served with a pinch of pepper. This makes it hard to grasp at first, yet also exciting, as you find yourself sniffing again and again.
The floral notes clearly dominate here. At this point, I want to emphasize that they do not come across as overly feminine, but represent a wonderful balance that I really can’t describe. Probably vetiver and pepper are the main suspects here.

After about an hour, I aired out the room, was out for about two hours, and came back home.
Now guess who was still waiting for me in the hallway. No, it wasn't the dog or the cat, but Accento.
Yes, even my better half immediately noticed "a different" perfume, or rather its scent, upon entering the apartment.
Sometimes I just don’t understand the (fragrance) world anymore. There are real beasts that supposedly last for days and take over their entire immediate environment - while I have completely opposite experiences and think, ...is something wrong with me, the scent, or even both of us...

Later in the evening, I continued to test the scent on my wrist, and at least in this case, the scent progression behaves very similarly to the paper/test strip. And I mean that positively!

The morning after. While preparing my first coffee, I immediately noticed that it smelled like Accento in the kitchen. Did I leave the test strip lying around somewhere? Before long, the scent spread further in the kitchen, and I then realized it was still coming from my wrist. Since I tend to have dry skin, I was very, very positively surprised.

Overall, the scent remains quite linear, aside from the first minutes of the opening. But that certainly doesn’t do Accento any harm or make it boring. No, even on its straight path, it comes across as multifaceted and very pleasing.
It reminds me of something...something I can’t quite grasp mentally, but it evokes positive vibes. Was it a certain person who smelled like this or an environment associated with it? I don’t know (yet), and that’s a good thing! It keeps it exciting. So feel free to keep shouting in my nose for a while...for me, it’s like good music.

Breaking a Lance...
... I actually thought back and forth about whether I want to write this review...
Recently, I significantly expanded my fragrance collection and, of course, had my eye on number 1. No matter where you look, you are showered with praise; even in spoken word, you have already arrived.

So I thought a blind purchase is an absolutely safe bet. You only hear and read good things. Well, I thought...

The presentation, the bottle, the feel are a poem and absolutely sublime!
With great anticipation, I applied the first sprays to my wrist. It didn't even occur to me to test it on paper beforehand...

Right from the very first moment of the opening, a cloud hit my face and immediately filled the entire room. H/S needs no discussion - this is brutal.

But everything I perceive from the actual scent felt quite familiar to me.
It smells like Vicks VapoRub to me, which is probably due to the honey-tobacco-lavender combo that dominates quite a bit.

Curious and a bit impatient, I waited for the further development. Unfortunately, Naxos remained quite linear on its already mentioned honey-tobacco-lavender path. After about 2 hours, it became increasingly softer and more wearable. However, it still hardly changes. No complexity, no twist, no...

Ah, disappointed, I gently placed the perfume back into its impressive packaging. Cap on - chapter Naxos closed.

What a pity, but it seems to be this way, and at least you learn something from it. Never a blind buy, especially in this price category.
