Advent For Her
I'm in the mood to write and will evaluate in a few sentences how I perceive the scent. Important: I don't wear it myself, but my wife does. I gifted her a bottle blind about three years ago because I really liked Aventus - but since my 2016 bottle has become very smoky, the excitement of past days has somehow faded. BUT!!! ... Yes, we'll get to that later

It is strong and really packs a punch. I mean, my dearest takes three sprays. And there we have Advent in the house: Once the scent spirit is out of the bottle, it doesn't leave quickly. Until a few months ago (and this is probably the norm), the similarity to Aventus for Him was there, but not overwhelming. I perceived the fruit differently, especially hardly any pineapple. It was definitely riper and more opulent and very pleasant. Also distinctly feminine. Wearers (you can hardly go wrong here): Over 30.

Back to Advent: the scent conquered the bathroom in just a few moments. When "she" then went down to the kitchen, it felt like she was trailing a scent train behind her. I have NEVER experienced a fragrance with such pronounced sillage. The stairwell was completely taken over. I might still compete with Black Gemstone here - most other fragrances fail in comparison.
Amazing! I then went down to the ground floor because it smelled so nice here. And lo and behold, my wife has been gone for a few minutes. Aventus For Her, however, lingers in the house for a while longer. Great!

Now for the but: The scent has changed over time and what can I say: It now smells like my Aventus For Him in its best (and my favorite) years. So not exactly, of course.
The scent spirit from the bottle shows its true face or rather its true DNA. However, the sillage has also diminished somewhat. You can't have it all. Regarding storage: The bottle has always been in the bathroom, never directly in the sun, but in the summer, it was there too (under the roof!). I can't explain it.

I've been tempted several times to swipe the bottle for myself. However, it's beneficial for the house if I occasionally snag a bit of Explorer for my son when needed.

Is that good or bad now?
You have to decide for yourselves. I find the scent very beautiful, extraordinary, and it has a powerful signature. Wear it in a seminar and people will at least remember you by your scent. I don't know why this scent only has an average of 7.1 here. But hey - totally irrelevant. That's subjective.

The scent definitely has character - and what a character it is. Just for that, we should gender the word character (no, please no discussion about this in the replies - ugh, this review should entertain you).

It's so good to me that I already bought an older batch here a few months ago

buy me, you blockhead
... said the bottle to me. Well, not really. It was more of a self-talk in my head after reading some reviews. So I ordered it and tested it.

The scent is very rounded and smooth when sprayed, without any sharp edges. Yes, wood and the described spices. It’s so enjoyable that you want to spray it two or three more times. I like it!

In comparison with Alex 2: No, it just doesn’t quite measure up. It lacks the spices that are much more prominent in the Xerjoff. But that’s really a shame. If you like the scent, then it fits!

I don’t perceive a significant change. Actually, after a few hours, I can’t smell it at all anymore. I have to sniff my shirt. Too bad, but then again "Spritz", "Spritz" ..... "SpritzSpritzSpritz".

However, I can’t really imagine wearing the scent (which I really enjoy) all day long, e.g., at work. Maybe in a home office. I wouldn’t want to carry a sampler around. That’s also due to the many alternatives I have. If you don’t have so many fragrances or just want/need to keep an eye on the budget, then this is a very wearable composition.

If you can try it, definitely do so. Blind buying alongside Sunrise from Zara is also conceivable here.

P.S.: By the way, Tobacco 4 is significantly more potent and lasts a whole day on me. Maybe maceration? Or Zara can also create scents that last longer than a Hubba-Bubba.

P.P.S.: Since we’re already talking about ALEX 2 dupes. I also have the DUA "The Conqueror | The Dua Brand / Dua Fragrances" and it has a bit of a "kick-butt-factor". Some spice note (curry? coriander?) stands out clearly - it reminds me of the opening of Fate Man, which I used to like a lot. A very (!!) potent dupe that can be smelled across several rows in the stadium.

Plum Jam Deluxe
Who among you likes plum jam? Yes? - Then THIS is your fragrance. It simply has to be jam ;-)

After being mostly disappointed by the Amouages of recent years, I started here with just a sample. I had already put the fragrance in my shopping cart for 160 USD - aargh! Anyway: Upon the first spray, I had an experience reminiscent of my first time with Epic, Memoir, or Jubi. Simply wonderful, soft, velvety, balanced, and thoroughly harmonious (just look at the ancient Greeks and their ideas about the harmony of the body - here as a fragrance).

Overall rather sweet; I find it difficult to pinpoint and accurately describe the components. You could just as well throw a monkey at a dartboard. But I can make associations: plum jam! This is probably due to the cardamom. Of course, the scent is much more complex, but the sweetness with a hint of spiciness roughly goes in that direction. The sweetness is not intrusive, and you neither feel the impulse to brush your teeth nor reach for aspirin. Simply beautiful.

The first test spray on my wrist in the evening didn’t last long. I should have pressed harder. But the next day, I had a very similar impression: Four sprays in the morning, and I could have laid myself in the jam shelf. But I fear that after four hours, no one would have taken me with them. Gone, simply gone. Well, not entirely. But the fragrance is, in my opinion, equipped with far too little power - so unfortunately, no plum boom. That doesn’t have to be a problem, but at that price, it’s frustrating for me. And it’s very close to the skin - okay, it’s nice that the scent goes under the skin - but why in both senses right away? Even a slice of bread with spread has more spatial presence.

The development is rather stable; not much has changed in the scent over the few hours. But that’s not tragic, as the lovely opening thus lasts longer. Fairly, I must say that my wife was wearing Aventa at the same time, and that’s a sillage powerhouse.

For which season and occasions? Ui - do I have to write that too?! Not for summer - the fragrance will probably be immediately dismantled by the first rays of sunshine. Actually, it doesn’t matter, wear what you want and when.

There are people who own fragrances that they only occasionally sniff. This is one of those, and it’s not meant to be derogatory. On the contrary - it’s art. And you wouldn’t take expensive paintings for a walk, would you? ;-)

If you can, definitely test it. Right now, I’m looking at a sample of SHL "Isra & Miraj" - I’ve never worn it, but I’ve sniffed it dozens of times because it simply fascinates me.

If you’re still unsure whether to buy the fragrance, take a detour to the shelf with the plum jam on your next shopping trip. An extremely underrated spread!

Yummy yummy
.. no, not a Breckies advertisement. After being hooked by a Parfumo, I made a blind purchase (well, a sample) and I am quite taken with it. I have tried a lot from Creed, and only Aventus and Original Santal really appeal to me.

This fragrance belongs to the brand: "Hey air in the room - make some space there!". But: in a gallant and quite subtle way. Not intrusive, but with all the more class. So, no Stromberg.

The composition of spices and wood works perfectly. For my nose (about 50 fragrances), this was absolutely new. The longevity seems quite alright to me, although not made for a 15-hour workday.

Sorry - time budget is tight. However, I will gladly supplement this soon when I have worn the fragrance again.

See you soon!

P.S.: Oops - I seem to have just contributed to a new number 1 in the ranking of men's fragrances, along with 19 other users, of course. Congratulations to Creed!

Alternatives to Relax?
In short, for those who miss the scent. It was my very first perfume and after many years of abstinence, I recently tried - in vain - to acquire it.
At my trusted perfumery in Düsseldorf, I then purchased Maitre "Ambre Precieux" on recommendation and I am very satisfied with it. My sense of scent is already a few years old, but spontaneously I felt reminded of Relax. It's better to try it out for yourself first - disappointment is always also self-deception :-)
