soap? television?
At first sniff, "The ghost in the shell" is very soapy to me, like a creamy Dove bar, with a little more lily of the valley added - that would be the mugane.
Something weird is going on though - I keep going back to the scent and then I get what I am thinking of: the smell of an old tv screen after you switch it off and you feel the static - that smell.
This is an interesting combination to me: the soothing soap and the electricity - entities that should not mix, but this perfume pulls it off.

Lingering freshness
Resinous yet fresh. Unlike some other frankincense scents,
Purpose does not revert to mustiness after a while, but stays fresh. There is a slight 'Dettol'-ness to the scent, which I think is a positive, and in this sense Purpose reminds me quite a bit of
Neandertal Us. Per ml Purpose is the cheaper one, but Neandertal sells in 30ml bottles, but in conclusion: these are both very expensive, so I'd say get samples of both. Purpose is more suede-saffron (and thus more,
Ganymede Eau de Parfum, more Bisch) ,
Neandertal Us Us is more smoke and more freshness (and perhaps more Euan McCall :-)). Both scents are extremely intriguing and have me resniffing my wrist all day long (because yes - they both last for a long time).

look behind the smoke, there's coffee waiting
At first sniff I was knocked out by the smokiness of this scent - but after a while my nose started to pick up on the coffee and the juniper.
There is a certain mustiness which would probably prevent me from wearing this 'seriously', but as with anything by Jorum Studio this is just really fascinating and I would happily spray this on in private and see 'where it takes me'. A place in the woods where a fire was put out?
Another smoky scent by Euan McCall is
Neandertal Us , and I do think I like that one a bit better because there is just a bit more happening there. (To my nose at least!)

Green incense
Boswellia is a type of tree, the resin of this tree is olibanum, and olibanum is used as incense. The boswellia tree grows in the Middle East, so 'boswellia scotia' is a non-existant (an impossible) plant, but it does make for an interesting perfume.
Think incense, but in a cold and wet forest. I do smell al lot of green, almost vetiver-like although this is not listed. It might be the omani green frankincense (from the boswellia sacra).
Unrelated; the word boswellia makes me really happy for some reason. It sounds like a dance.

Smelling in the throat?
Interesting scent - it has a lot on cough lozenge (that would be the eucalyptus), but I also seem to smell cloves (which are not in there). The cardamom gives it a kick, there is teeny bit of sweetness from the magnolia.
Now I might might be crazy but hear me out here - i feel like you smell this scent mostly at the 'back' of the nose, like on the border of the throat. Or is this something weird that is happening because of the association with the cough lozenge?
I don't think I'd be inclined to actually wear this around people, but I do love a good 'can't make sense of what's happening'-scent
