Not my cup of tea!
London Fog opens with a wonderful earl-grey note with lots of bergamot and a delicate smoky aroma in the background. My heart leaps for joy, and if you read the fragrance pyramid, you can imagine that it doesn't stop there.
My bonfire goes out far too quickly and takes off in the direction of honey milk, the teenage note quickly comes to a standstill. Lavender is used too sparingly here; instead, the lactonic concoction becomes very sweet. At this point at the latest, I feel sick to my stomach.
In combination with the base notes, the whole thing becomes a dense honey-sandalwood milk of overwhelming intensity.
My conclusion: This is not a tea fragrance in the conventional sense. The interplay of top and base notes is too much of a good thing for me. Nevertheless, London Fog will find its fans.

Just Neroli!
This fragrance opens with a terrifyingly nose-deafening neroli drumbeat.
As a result, this fragrance sends everyone, including me, who is unfamiliar with orange blossoms fleeing.
After a good half hour, the disaster is over and neroli comes across as conciliatory and sweet - is it the vanilla?
In fact, I am now pleasantly surprised.
After about 6 hours, neroli is barely perceptible, but it becomes distinctly oriental and spicy.
Montale has not convinced me so far, although I consider this one to be one of the better ones, even though the opening is really creepy.

Ibiza/Chaos 1999
I was shown this fragrance at the time by a good friend. Her words, I still have them in my ear today, that's something else. A good two weeks I then went pregnant with my purchase decision. In the summer of 99 I also traveled for the first time to Ibiza and he was there, but it never became the great love. Thus, I also did not buy after and at some point he was also forgotten, until 20 years later I held my entry on Parfumo and schwuppdiwupp fell me this little dream again and I was clear that I did not understand this fragrance properly at the time.
The greater was the disappointment when I noticed, he is no longer produced.
Chaos is a wonderfully spicy, charismatic fragrance with gauzy sweetness. Not at all playful and very adult. I have simply missed the remake.
In the aftermath for me personally a classic.
Many thanks to two nice Parfumo/as who refreshed my fragrance memory with small samples.
Addendum:
Meanwhile, I may call a bottle again my own.

Who likes runny butter?
A few weeks ago I stumbled here on this probably already discontinued fragrance, which could yet be my Kragenweiter. In fact, I could still locate a bottle on the net and struck blindly, knowing that there are many Lieberhaberinnen here for this fragrance.
My initial enthusiasm lasted in about 2 hours, after which I was virtually knocked out.
What I initially liked, eventually became the fragrance's undoing. Now I know the original mother of this fragrance and have driven in the early 90s also evil mischief. After, however, at the end of the 90s this fragrance quasi held entry at Real & Co. and every, even so unsuitable lady, bedieselte himself with it, it was then finally over.
Back to the "here and now", I smelled the primordial mother, but in quite thick, delicate garb and was impressed. The scratchy note, which also liked to lay on the mucous membranes, was completely gone. However, this viscous robe is so wrapped in chilli and ginger that after a short while it reminded me of an Asian dish with an overdose of coconut milk (no coconut note!). The ginger is unfortunately not candied to this combined with the chilli and cream, it's too much for me. Shortly after, I was stuffed, and ripe for at least 3 mekongs.
Conclusion: such a power fragrance needs exactly the Urmutters scratchiness to be tolerable for me.

This is not a love song!
After being a big fan of Narciso's Amber Musc, I was quite eager to test the Patchouli Musc. Therefore, I was also very busy in the fall and have set all levers in motion to call the "supposedly" beautiful water my own.
In the spirit I saw me on beautiful winter days the amber cheat with the patch.
I think if Patchouli Musc is on it, you can expect them in the lead and this is where the problem lies. In the foreground, I perceive oriental, sweet spices trapped on vanilla. Undeniably, there is patch and musk, but they do not make the breakthrough and thus I had a different idea of what was ultimately presented to me.
Durability, sillage and bottle are worthy of an oriental; the fragrance, like everything in life, a matter of taste.
