I smeared myself with neroli

The name promises exactly what it says.
The fragrance smells completely of neroli, and I like that very much.
Fresh scents always do it for me, and even though it's not a citrusy scent, I'm still very pleasantly surprised by this fragrance.
I received it as a sample after I ordered it from Montale with my Arabians and have been thinking about buying it ever since.

The scent is so fresh and extremely floral. I really feel like I'm lying in a meadow of flowers and I'm just happy.

About the bottle: Montale's "tin cans" often get a lot of hate, but I actually really like them, especially this one. The pattern on the front is also very appealing.

In my review of the Arabians by Montale, I already mentioned that in my opinion Montale sometimes lacks diversity between the fragrances, but here it is exactly the opposite, it is an enormously unique and good fragrance.

As I said, I've been thinking about getting this fragrance for a while now, and I think that all in all the fragrance is really great and the price-performance ratio is good too. So I can only recommend it.

Overslept near Turin

Last Saturday I was in the Montale boutique in Paris, standing in front of the shelf on which the 2023 releases were displayed.
There were seven (?) last year, I think. I tried three of them - all three are good: Infinity, Holy Neroli and Lucky Candy. I actually wanted to get something completely different, but in the end I bought Holy Neroli (+ Infinity Travel Spray). Holy Neroli is exactly what I was looking for. A not too complicated, strong, Mediterranean, sweet summer/summer evening scent.

What does it smell like?
It's a village in summery Italy. I've woken up too late and it's getting pretty hot outside.
I'm standing at the open window in the kitchen of the old stone house, looking directly at an orange tree that is in full bloom in front of the window, being pampered by the summer sun.
In the kitchen, various ingredients used to make pastries and sweets are chaotically distributed. Several trays of something sweet are baking in the open. The aromas from the oven mingle with the aromas of the blossoming orange trees, the garden and the heated grass wafting in through the window. "My God...", I think to myself, "I've got it good..."

P.S. With all due respect for different tastes - giving the fragrance a 0.5 is trolling.

Holy refreshing tissues

It's a warm summer's day in around 1987 and I can still see it as if it were yesterday. I am about 7 years old and standing with my grandmother in a pilgrimage church to which she made a pilgrimage once a year. She rummages in her old black handbag and pulls out one of those little disposable sachets from among the handkerchiefs and other stuff. She opens one of the little blue sachets and, as a child, I wondered what exactly this not exactly cool and slightly wet paper tissue was refreshing her. In any case: Holy Neroli is exactly the scent of the little paper towel back then. And just now, as I'm writing this, I'm getting goosebumps at the coincidence of the name Holy and the context of the pilgrimage church. Can there be such coincidences?

The name is program

Can we please talk about this beautiful bottle once? Wow Orange and gold stand here for noble but also playful and tangy. That's how I would describe the fragrance as well. You are looking for Neroli? With this fragrance you get it in loaded power! I noticed this spicy-sweet neroli scent notes about 6 hrs on my skin. The way it greets me in the opening, it stays with me quite constantly. Only some freshness put itself in, which I found very good, as it was already quite engagingly sweet in its neroli spice cloud. After 6 hrs, I still perceived sweet-soft vanilla paired with musk. On clothes, I'm sure it lasts even longer.
I would advise against a blind buy here, as it is already very special. I like neroli vanilla scents, but this one has for me evt. by the included spices a too special touch. H/S is very good. Even after showering one perceives him still.
