Montale....and the Rose
I took the Black Aoud by Montale with me on a paper strip when I purchased another fragrance. When the scent landed on the paper strip, it struck me as somewhat annoyingly overpowering. I shoved the paper strip into my pocket and didn’t pay it any further attention.
When I got home and spread out the collected scent strips (I’ve recently started writing the names of the fragrances on the strips) neatly on the dresser, the scent of Black Aoud wafted out from my pocket. However, I no longer found it bothersome, but rather very interesting. Throughout the entire evening, I kept smelling the strip and found it increasingly appealing. The scent lingered intensely in the whole room for days, just from that paper strip. Only then did I also detect the more intense rose, which I had never been able to appreciate in rose fragrances before. Now this scent had practically taken me "hostage." The strength of the rose and its intensity filling an entire room through a paper strip. Simply fantastic!
I mainly perceive the scent as an intense rose, with patchouli, oud, and mandarin perhaps only on the periphery. I find it smells really fresh, and you can wear it well in warmer temperatures. Additionally, this fragrance has something noble and elegant, and the sillage and longevity are gigantic. The strap in my car smells of it for weeks. Now I am on the lookout for a suitable floral shirt.... well, I owe that to this wonderful rose scent from Montale. From skepticism, total enthusiasm for this fragrance has developed in me, and I am happy to have landed on a rose scent. I never thought I would....

Vanilla Dream
Mancera Aoud Vanille releases a brutal, synthetic cloud with the first spray. Please don't get me wrong, I love this synthetic cloud in Mancera fragrances. I think it's just great, even if it knocks me off my feet every time. This soon settles down, and after this first strong drizzle, one is overwhelmed and gifted by this incredible scent with such a beautiful creamy and delicious vanilla.
A dream.
Aoud Vanille is one of those fragrances that I like to indulge in with a few sprays while watching TV on the couch in the evening, because it simply smells so wonderful and wraps me in a comfort cloud. I enjoy every movement where the scent flows towards me. It's simply a fragrance that caresses the soul.
In addition, it has atomic longevity with equally strong sillage that can fill an entire room. I don't perceive much oud, if at all, only in the strong opening.
Along with the bombastically delicious vanilla that dominates in the further development of the scent, there are also a few crumbly pepper and saffron notes.
A fantastic fragrance for anyone who loves vanilla.
Mancera is one of my top fragrance labels. Price and performance are top-notch.

That's not so easy
when you like fragrances that have a decent longevity and also boast a striking sillage.... then sooner or later you come across Orto Parisi, the man from Nasomatto with the crazy nose.
Then you also stumble directly upon "Megamare," which also carries the nickname "Beast."
This for an aquatic fragrance.
When I sought out this scent to test in a department store in Düsseldorf, my excitement was high. Because none of what was described about the fragrance could I grasp or imagine in any way how it actually smells.
Even just smelling the bottle from above, a very fresh, marine-like cloud greeted me. After the first spray, I perceived something very strong and aquatic.
The scent is not easy to describe and it is mega strong in the opening. It doesn’t let anything else take over. Like a pit bull defending its territory, saying "here I am" and no one else. You have to give the fragrance some time, then the strong rusty sea scent transforms into something I would already call spicy. This fragrance envelops you for at least the whole day. And I enjoyed perceiving it distinctly with a breeze again and again.
It is a scent that is very hard to interpret and it is one of those beasts that you have to try. Some like it, others do not. I see the fragrance as more unisex than for men. It is provocative, strong, and room-filling. The day before yesterday, I was in a perfumery wanting to test some and had 3 sprays of Megamare on that day. Nothing of what I wanted to sniff there could I perceive or could I. Megamare is incredibly territorial and aggressive and doesn’t allow any competitor near its aura. I really like that about the fragrance. Not everything you like and find great has to be explained. With this one, it’s like with all Orto Parisi... test it and see if you like it. Maybe even on the second try. In the fresh category of fragrances, it is unbeatable in longevity, though somewhat specific. I can only give it full points because what it stands for, it achieves with top performance.

the cap is the only thing that stinks
because it really smells like metal, making you want to wash your hands.
The scent itself has nothing to do with stinking, in the sense of dung, fertilizer, or excretions.
It is a warm, spicy, and sensual fragrance that possesses an extraordinary radiance.
When you wear this on your clothes, you can smell it for weeks when the clothes are hung back in the closet.
I find this fragrance exceptional, and I often catch myself smelling it when it’s on my wrist.
The fragrance descriptions at Orto Parisi may always be provocative, but I see really good niche fragrances behind them that are simply great in their uniqueness.
Stercus is one of those scents that you might tend to overlook because of the description.
But you shouldn’t do that and just dare to try it. Surely, there will be many who don’t like it or find it too intense. But for those looking for a powerful scent with extraordinary radiance, they should give this a try. It’s worth it!
I love this fragrance, and Stercus is something very special.

The Highly Explosive Gas Canister
is already a great presentation of this fragrance. Add to that the print "Gasoline" and the highly flammable flame. All of this shows that things are highly explosive here.
The scent... yes, the scent. It’s not so easy to grasp. At first, the initial smell blew my nose away and catapulted me into something I had never smelled before.
At first, I was somewhat repulsed by the scent, but then again, one could say I was somehow drawn to it in ecstasy. This smell hits you with full force. It is strong, provocative, animalistic, and unmistakable.
Here, my initial aversion transformed into total enthusiasm. There’s tar, gasoline, something charred in the scents that cling to the olfactory organs like they are being asphalted into the nasal mucosa, as if a new road is being paved there. The engine starts immediately with 100 octane.
The scent knocked me out so much that my first thought was, it’s so awful that it’s actually good or rather top-notch.
When I smell this fragrance, I am somewhere else, but I can’t even say exactly where that is; it’s something like a junkyard, a tarred road but in a positive sense.
H/S is decent and looks good. The scent progression is linear and doesn’t change much.
I love scents or smells that evoke something in me. Not many can do that. This one has already led to a new tarred road in my nose.
Hats off to this daring and bold fragrance from Rammstein, and the quality of the packaging. At least on par with Jean Paul Gaultier and the price with a discount at Müller... incredible.
Dare to try it.
