Oh dear
I danced around this fragrance for weeks, but with this fragrance pyramid, it must be so amazing.
The first spray on the test strip and I immediately had "Nightology - Wild Temptation | Jesus del Pozo" in my nose.
Tested on the skin and the disappointing confusion began.
The peach? Must have misfired because apart from a few wafts of mist from this fragrance component, I didn't notice much here.
What surprises me is that I detected an oud note that doesn't even seem to be there.
The top notes generally slipped past my perception, not much happened for me.

My conclusion:
Are you like me? Spending weeks looking for a fragrance and about to buy it blind? DON'T DO IT! Make sure you test this fragrance first!
For me, the beautiful look and the fantastic fragrance pyramid were almost enough, but I'm relieved to know why I didn't buy this fragrance out of sheer greed for beauty.

Apparently it's me!
The perfect victim for Valentino's designer fragrances.
Not a single fragrance note hints at shells, anything mineral, ocean, salt water or anything else. And yet the name "Coral Fantasy" in combination with the peach-colored perfume liquid creates exactly that in my head.
I smell a blue lagoon, I smell the sea, I smell summer. Maybe I'm just smelling what I want to smell, but here's a comparison for absolute connoisseurs of a classic game.
The image of the level "Baia Paradiso" from SuperMario Sunshine immediately popped into my head when I sniffed it.
I think that the Provençal lavender in combination with the fruity top note and the herbaceous, herbal base note create these summery images.

I definitely like it a lot and look forward to using it more in the warmer days to come.

This packaging, this bottle and last but not least this fragrance...
... call for an anecdote.

Admittedly, I don't have an appropriate one yet, as I have yet to experience my fragrance adventure with this perfume.
However, I am happy to share my first impressions.
I am very glad that I simply tested this fragrance at the perfumery retailer of my choice BEFORE I looked at the fragrance pyramid.
There is actually a lot to be said against my modest understanding of the nose that this experience
flattering to my nose.
According to the fragrance pyramid in the top note citrus fruits, in the past these fragrances were a guarantee that they would turn into toilet spray lemon on my skin. But then my wife provided the decisive clue. Citrus is NOT the same as lemon and my olfactory quandary was cleared up and I was able to enjoy the plum and the green notes.

In the heart I mainly perceive the lavender in combination with the cumin/cinnamon mixture; smells wonderful, I can't go into it any further because not much else happens here.

Off to the base and in the base smells the power or something like that.
What comes to mind about the notes here:
Four times love and once oh my... Oud
My first real oud experience was (unfortunately) with the Elevated Oud by Zara (I am almost ashamed to mention this name in this review) and to
keep this tragic story short it was a terribly disgusting experience.

But not so with this prestige perfume where the name says it all. Trade Routes, Halfeti Leather, Penhaligon's and, above all, the story of its origins in what was then the port of the world.
When reading this description of the past, I found myself nodding in affirmation and feeling as if the fragrance was telling me the story straight from my nose to my brain
An experience that I have never had with any other fragrance. In conclusion, however, I am a great friend of this type of fragrance.

Blind buy candidate? No, absolutely not (to be honest, it's not a perfume), but if you can identify with the fragrance notes in any way, it's at least worth a test!

It's completely crazy....
..... How chili behaves as a fragrance. You spray the fragrance on and immediately notice the spicy notes. I perceive cinnamon rather weakly, but I still immediately think of the "BIG RED" chewing gum that was (or still is?) available a few years ago.
What do I mean by "crazy"?
Well, you can smell the chili, you can see the grenade bottle with the red partial coloring, so you have a visual and an olfactory pungent factor in front of you.
What happens next is almost magical. The tongue prepares itself to accept and "survive" the capsaicin, it starts to tingle but the pungency as a taste or pain factor remains completely absent. The smell remains, which is of course in no way painful but exciting and tingling.
I love it!
