Very nice and friendly scent
I gave up on trying flankers from V&R after the Spicebomb Extreme, that one is one of the best winter scents in my books and probably the only Viktor & Rolf worthy of a blind buy.

I like how the Pink Pepper gives it a pop to this scent and together with the leather and woody notes, becomes a pleasant masculine scent, without trying too much.

Not sure the longevity will be too good, it got very fast close to the skin from my sample .. but overall one can overspray, the price is not too high to be too upset about that.

Overall a nice release from 3 famous perfumers, including the one who created Aventus.
Thanks for leaving a like on my video.

Beautiful Spicy warmth
Fantastic flanker in the Spicebomb line, this fragrance is spicy, masculine and confident. I get cinnamon with chilli and a hint of sweetness. It's warm and cosy but still has an energy to it. Wearable year round except in the super high heat. This actually reminds me of the drydown of Sauvage elixir but I prefer Infrared EDP, because it's not as nuclear you can over spray & it's much more wearable

Give me some thin crust pizza
I have never tried Spicebomb but do have and like Spicebomb Extreme. Spicebomb Infrared EdP is a clear flanker and obviously shares DNA with Spicebomb Extreme. This Spicebomb family component stays with Infrared throughout its life, but in a subtle fashion. It opens with a spicy alcoholic burst which quickly evolves into its dry down scent beyond which there really isn't much further development.

What is that scent? To me, it smells like pizza! It's not oregano as in the opening of Interlude Man. It's more like the smell of your hands after having shared a large thin crust pizza with friends. Once I made this association, I couldn't get it out of my head. Sorry, Infrared is not for me.

That said, longevity and projection are quite good. Price from discounters is not bad.

Red Batman
I have two older brothers and when we were much much younger, we gave one of our Uncles a nickname; 'Uncle Batman'

No reason. No recollection as to why we named him that, and for about ten years he remained 'Uncle Batman'.

I am a massive fan of the Original Spicebomb, the OG, I don't think there's much in the flankers. Even the much vaunted Spicebomb Extreme...which I think is good if a little obvious. I am not really a fan of flankers per se of any most brands.

I don't care for the Spicebomb flankers because I don't see them as much of a great improvement on the original, and I don't really see them as an improvement at all. They're variations on a theme but the main story is so good why remix a great song.

I didn't have much hope for this.

Infrared EdP - when I sampled it. I was impressed. I do like this and I do think it would be something I would wear. I have worn Spicebomb Extreme and enjoyed wearing it, but what is the difference?

I think this is more characterful, a deeper impressive fragrance. I would wear this and could see myself wearing this for as long as I would Spicebomb, but I much prefer the original.

The impression I wrote down when I sampled this because I felt compelled to write something; and I wrote 'Batman in Red Batsuit, Uncle Batman in a red batsuit'. The colour red pervades from this is such a warm ethereal cloud undulating and warping through the air.

I am impressed by this, its worth a healthy sample and a wear.

Boredom in a bottle.
"Infrared" is not perceptible to the human eye. That's how I feel about this fragrance.

I tested the Infrared EdP a few days ago and was very curious and expectant, both in terms of the fragrance pyramid and its pedigree (I love Spicebomb Extreme!).

Well... The first spray said it all. Cinnamon and red pepper and even chili! Sounds awesome! Think again.

Some diffuse sweetness and a slightly woody note waft up somewhere from the base notes, but without conveying any depth. Barely perceptible overall. There is not much development and the "fragrance" disappears completely in a short time.

H/S are therefore a total waste of time. Better to test before a blind buy so that you don't fall flat on your face.

Finally, to save my honor, a relativization: fragrances react differently on every skin and when I look at the other reviews here, I have a hard time assuming that the Infrared reacts rather "abnormally" on me.

A real blast of fruit & cinnamon in the initial spray, drying down to a rich leathery, woody & spicy scent. Great winter warmer.
