The correct cousin, but not the brother.
I find the bottle quite pleasant, simple, therefore not disturbing, quite nice. The quality of the lid is unnecessarily cheap and the spray head is anything but the best, but the price here is also very low. It's more than enough. In addition, the bottle is fortunately very accessible again and the increased prices due to the hype at the beginning have fallen again. I normally like the design, it's just very basic. How is the fragrance?

This one is very linear for me, but it has its own twist compared to the original. You can clearly recognize the Imagination, but there is one note here that is so strong that it really stands out and somewhat obscures the rest of the more beautiful DNA. Is that the tea? Something slightly spicy, synthetic-sweet. It's also a little fruitier, slightly sweeter and more playful than the original, but still nice enough. For me, there is just this one strong note in particular that stands out and unfortunately overpowers the rest. It doesn't change much for me as it progresses and towards the end, it just becomes weaker, less playful, less fruity, less sweet and more serious, normally citrusy, slightly spicy. Fortunately, you can recognize the comparison to Imagination on the skin from start to finish. The longevity doesn't come close to the original, it only lasts a few hours. The original lasts much longer. We don't even need to compare the bottle. ^^'

This fragrance is perfect as a long-term test bottle for anyone who wants to get the original at some point. Until then, it's a great way to test the "coarser" DNA. The original is currently too expensive for me, but I want to and will buy it at some point in the future as a small reward for some milestone. Until then, this very affordable and easily accessible bottle will keep me going. I have also drawn a comparison to the "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة", if you are interested you will find a longer description and a comparison of the 3 fragrances as a review under the AoA I from me. Of course, please bear in mind that everyone perceives fragrances and notes slightly differently. This is just > my < honest opinion. :) Thank you

AoA I --- SotRSD --- Imagination
Hi, I have an original sample of Imagination, a bottle of Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Eau de Parfum and a bottle of "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة". Let the games begin.

I don't like to copy-paste the same text for all three fragrances, this is the one I had the most hope for, so here's the "long version" so you have another, different opinion to confuse you. :P

Imagination
The original unfortunately remains unbeaten, neither of these two dupes surpasses it in terms of fragrance or bottle, only the price/performance probably beats both. But LV is also expensive...
For me, this fragrance is quite linear and surprisingly long-lasting for a fresh scent. During a test, I sprayed it on in the evening and still smelled it on my arm the next day at work. Not in the air but still very noticeable on my arm. I don't think I need to describe much here. The differences between the two dupes are more relevant. But I still want to and will keep it as short as possible. x)
Imagination is a strikingly interesting freshie, it is fresh, aquatic, but has its own spiciness that I don't know from any other freshie. It is absolutely not comparable to a typical designer blue fragrance, there is nothing blue, shower gel-heavy, classically masculine here. This is a beautiful, pure, clean water with a few fine, high-quality ingredients in it. A few herbs, a few subtle summer fruits. Compared to the bottomless, it somehow reminds me of something along the lines of Sprite, it has a tasty, refreshing citrus, is very fresh, slightly herbaceous and minty. For me, it's also somewhat reminiscent of the Acqua di Giò pour Homme Eau de Toilette series. There are enough descriptions of the fragrance, it's really beautiful, it fits!

"Art of Arabia I | Lattafa / لطافة"
I don't own the bottle, but the pictures are enough to get an impression. It's okay, I would like it more if the lower part of the tower didn't stick out so much, but it's all still visually fine. I just think the lid is terrible, I like the classic design of the Zara more or the very cool design of the LV. Here the lid looks like a car key if you squint a bit. A terribly unsatisfying drop up there. But the bottle doesn't matter in the end, because of the price of the original, only the fragrance has to be right. Does it do that?
When the bottle arrived and I smelled it between the lid and the spray head, I was overjoyed that I liked this fragrance so much and that it was close enough to the original for me personally. The first few sprays on my arm and the scent in the air confirmed it. Such a delicious, fruity fragrance. Not very sweet-fruity, this one isn't really very sweet. But fresh and fruity, on a par with Volvic iced tea water? Do you know that? Ginger, citrus, tea, a little mint. That's what I smell the most. Delicious, refreshing, really good and a little stronger in the ginger/citrus range than the original, I would say. For me, it lacks the slightly herbaceous notes of LV. And the citrus from the LV smelled better, as if the LV had high-quality citrus in it and they cheated with syrup. That also makes it a little sweeter and fruitier here. The whole thing stayed like this for 30min - 1h, then the slightly sweet, fruity disappeared and a more serious citrig remained. More boring, less playful, less fun, but still absolutely fine and good smelling. You can't go wrong with it. Getting weaker now though. Waited a little longer and unfortunately I smell notes on the drydown that I can't find listed or described anywhere here. Is it just me that smells that?
I can smell oriental notes among the citrus residue, not in the air when I sniff my arm. Something along the lines of rose oud but very light? Something about Arabians Tonka immediately popped into my head (I absolutely don't like it). I don't think anyone will smell that in the air, it really only came very close to my nose, but I don't like that kind of oriental scent at all. Rose oud, unfortunately, always has a musty, smelly effect on my nose. Is that due to the manufacturer? Art of Arabia I doesn't last very long; of all three fragrances, I would say that this one has the lowest longevity. This, combined with the strange intermediate notes in the drydown, unfortunately does not make it a worthy alternative for me. It's good as a fun intermediate fragrance in the collection, especially for the top note. In terms of price, however, I would wait and see, as the hype here has unfortunately made it far too expensive. It's not worth it to me. ^^

Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Eau de Parfum
To be honest, I find the bottle pleasant, simple, therefore not disturbing, quite nice. The lid is unnecessarily cheap but the price here is also very low. I normally like the design, it's just very basic. The bottle here is much easier to access than the AoA. How is the fragrance?
It's more linear for me again, at least it doesn't take a negative turn like AoA I did. But this one also has its own twist. You can clearly recognize the Imagination, but there is one note here that is so strong that it really stands out and somewhat obscures the rest of the more beautiful DNA. Is that the tea? Something spicy, synthetically slightly sweet. This one is also a little fruitier, slightly sweeter and more playful than the original, but still nice enough. The rest of the DNA goes in the direction of the AoA top note or Imagination in general, otherwise it's really just this one strong note that stands out and unfortunately seems a little overpowering. In the course and towards the end, it doesn't change much for me, it just becomes weaker, less playful, fruity, sweet and rather more serious, normally citrusy, slightly spicy. The longevity doesn't come close to the original, which is probably only a few hours. But for me, it packs more of a punch than the AoA. At least more imagination DNA, with the AoA only the disturbing thing remains, if I find anything at the end.

So the Art of Arabia I is the hated, evil stepbrother on the inside, but at least he smiles nicely.
Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes is the neutral cousin, and therefore not directly the brother. You can relate to him less, but you can talk to him, he's not annoying.
And Imagination is the beloved, perfect child. But there's no child benefit for this one and children can be really expensive...
You're probably not doing anything wrong with any of them, just a little more right with one than with the other. If you don't smell the drydown from the AoA like I do, go for it. But it will be unnecessarily more expensive and more difficult to access than the Zara, so always test it beforehand. The original is clearly the best, it doesn't interfere anywhere, smells the best, and the bottle is the best.
Considering the whole scent progression and the price, I'll probably buy a bottle of Zara, the AoA is just overpriced, much harder to access and I don't like its drydown. Zara also lasts me a little longer. I'll buy the Imagination as my own reward for some milestone in my future. :)

Lipton Iced Tea Lemon?
Why is the character limit for statements so low...

When I smell the freshly sprayed fragrance up close, it smells of rose, it smells slightly peppery, slightly leathery, woody, masculine, elegant, slightly fresh, a suit or similar, chic clothing really suits it mega.
Towards the drydown it becomes sweeter, rounder, creamier, the rose disappears more and more and it naturally becomes a little weaker.
The really tangible familiar thing in everyday life that the fragrance reminds me of, at least !in the air!, is something like a lemon iced tea, especially Lipton somehow comes to mind. I never actually drink it, but it's familiar. This description certainly doesn't do the fragrance justice ^^' but that's what pops into my head.

The bottle is great, the lid clicks in satisfactorily, the bottle and lid are heavy and well made, visually it is also a nice piece. The price is very satisfactory, the price/performance ratio is unbeatable for lovers of DNA. I also find the spray head very successful, it's not the finest, slow gliding mist but it looks so confident and strong as it sprays out. It creates a nice, strong cloud.

For me personally, the fragrance is not suitable enough for everyday wear, I never wear it, there are too few weddings or similar occasions. And outside of that, it's simply not my choice. But I don't think it's bad at all. A souk partner is happy about a snapper.

Father Jeremy lied to me
I'll first try to collect what I can mention positively here:

-It comes in nice, useful packaging, it doesn't have to be. I always think it's good when something like this is included. I'm sure they could have offered it cheaper. This box served me personally well as a container for accessories such as test strips.
-The bottle is unusually shaped, stands out, not too quirky, I like it.
(The lid didn't have to be so cheap, it looked like it was 3D printed)
-It has a nice color, a nice, fitting name and it lasts really well for a freshie.
-Jeremy says you get a good, reputable brand for a low price.
"For 20$ you are getting a premium brand like versace, so you feel cool wearing it. POOOWEEER"
-The price is low, the availability is great, price/quantity is pretty cool and all. Yeah yeah, but the scent...

The fragrance... yeah, what am I supposed to do? ^^' Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review of it here and would like to present my honest view of the fragrance. Maybe I'll save one or two younger prospective buyers from it or persuade them to buy a bottle. Even if it is so cheap.
Maybe I'm too young for it and I'll try again in 10 years towards 35/40. But so far I've only been disappointed, in the end it hasn't really convinced me once. I was promised a beautiful, fresh, grown-up, mass-market (beach) fragrance. For me, however, adult was somehow confused with outdated. It smells really old to me. Yes, blue/green, "fresh", but never refreshing, aquatic, but always with a negative leg note. It never seemed really clean, neat, nice and fresh, current or fun to me. It never gets rid of its negative notes throughout the entire fragrance.

I would describe it figuratively as an Italian old town. Summer, warmth, an old restaurant, only here you go to the even older men's toilet in the cellar and wash your hands with an old soap that has always been there. You smell the soap, you smell the room, you smell aquatics, you smell sewers. The store owner, who has been doing this for 50 years, smells the same, by the way.

Or with an old towel that has been used in the household for 20 years. The towel has just been washed, it's clean, but it will never smell completely clean again. This train has left the station, it has soaked up too much dirty water too often. It's no longer soft either, more rough, you can see the threads through the last bits of "fluff".

The scent isn't terrible, it's not a 1/10, I've smelled worse. I could wear this one, but I would never voluntarily reach for it. There are too many ingredients listed here and my nose is too untrained for me to be able to list what exactly bothers me here. I can well imagine that it smelled different back then and was really appropriate at the time, which makes me happy for my contemporaries. :) In my age, I find it out of place. Older fragrances can still be convincing today, see Cool Water Eau de Toilette , great piece! This one doesn't do it for me. Someone else was happy about it in the souk, after all.

It took a while
At the beginning of my still small perfume journey, I didn't like this fragrance. It seemed boring, old, no longer contemporary. In general, fresh fragrances were not my cup of tea because everything started with a sweet gourmand. I was surprised that you can consciously smell so "delicious", which is why I only wanted more from this area and the fresh ones were all boring for me.

But at some point you've had enough sweet stuff and you crave something light. Especially in summer, with only rather sweet fragrances, it's more likely that you'd rather wear nothing at all than a very sweet fragrance. So I was looking for something that could accompany me even in high temperatures. Something that you can just spray on without worrying about it. It won't bother anyone, it won't be too much for me at some point, it can be used anytime and anywhere. I only realized the true value of "freshies" after more than a year in this "hobby". Fortunately, I have now also filled my small collection with one or two fresh fragrances so that, even if it is already difficult to decide, I can find something suitable to wear for every occasion and every situation.

Among them is the Cool Water Eau de Toilette this is by far the most aquatic fragrance of all the fragrances I have tested so far. The name is really well chosen for it, because it smells like I imagine water in my head. Or how I imagine these advertising images of it might smell. In reality, it's different again, because no sea, no lake, no river will smell like Cool Water. Nevertheless, it has become a very great fragrance for me. It is not a purely "blue" fragrance, because all the well-known "blue" fragrances (designer range) smell different in my opinion. As already listed here in the notes, there are also green tones that can be perceived. Water isn't just blue either. Here I personally find, unlike with well-known designer "blue fragrances", no sweet, spicy or familiar shower gel notes that are otherwise known from YSL Y, Versace Pour Homme, Dylan Blue, Sauvage, Legend Spirit etc.. This is pure, aquatic, grown-up, non-playful, serious freshness. This one really refreshes in hot temperatures. I certainly don't have as much fun wearing this fragrance as a well-known "blue fragrance", but this one finds its use in my life on very hot days and especially on more serious, quieter days or evenings. It really doesn't radiate a strong scent, but it doesn't have to. I mainly wear this fragrance for myself, it calms me down. It gives me a feeling of more control and overview. It is serious, mature, refreshing, calming, confident, clean, not playful. Dark blue and dark green. :)

I am very glad that after 1-2 years of only sweet fragrances I have ventured back into fresh fragrances and was honestly surprised that I like Cool Water so much after all. My opinion of it used to be much shorter, more rash and dismissive. This fragrance has survived really well for its age and is still appropriate for its time. I can't say that about many fragrances that are so "old". *Cough* Blue Jeans *cough* In addition to the fragrance, the bottle is also really beautiful and elegant, even though it is so simple. I really like the shape and the edges. It also sprays absolutely fine. It's not the best atomizer, but there are much worse ones out there. The price/performance ratio is very satisfactory. Top. We like it.
