Dryer smell in a bottle
I grew up in a small village in Bavaria.
There were many children living in our street and our free time was spent romping around the various gardens, playing badminton in the street and climbing trees.
The summer scent of my childhood is composed of the smell of freshly mown grass, elderflowers, petrichor and just also the smell of freshly washed or dried laundry.

My one friend lived at the end of our street in her grandparents' house and once a week was laundry day. In the summer, we would hang out in front of the tilted window that led to the laundry room with our noses like junkies so we wouldn't miss the delicious smell that was coming out of there. Even then, I wished we could preserve smells for bad times, so we could sniff them when needed and remember the good times.
That's exactly what Byredo has done for me with this fragrance.

I can not perceive the individual fragrance notes listed here, I smell only the comforting, warming smell of fresh laundry and feel directly 20 years back.
So there is also no scent progression on my skin at all, but that doesn't bother me. Our house was unfortunately sold last year and my playmates from back then are of course now also all long grown up.
This fragrance catapults me but directly in the then, carefree time back and alone therefore he may probably move in. Whether I myself would like to smell like this, I do not know yet, but the calming, soothing effect that this smell has on me, I would not want to miss.

Review number 3 and already a tear
My search for the ultimate apricot fragrance continues and so I came across "Pure Gold" by Montale during my research. The pyramid sounded very appealing, most of the comments also, so I thought to myself, so wrong can not be. Oh, how lopsided I was wrapped there...
Today my filling arrived, I sprayed full of joy and urgs, what is THAT? The prelude is for me not a bit citrusy as so often described here but a strange mixture of herbaceous and dusty, brrr. So I shrugged it off in horror and thought to myself, never jugde a book by its cover, we all know that first impressions are not necessarily decisive. So for the next hour I waited for this scent to sting my nose less. Wasn't that easy, because the sillage is already very pronounced to begin with and there was a sultry cloud of fragrance constantly wafting into my nose. Really not nice, especially since I can not even make out on the basis of the fragrance notes, what exactly disturbs me there actually just so.
Now, 4 hours later, it has developed into a quite pleasant, soft vanilla scent, but I get that with other fragrances and that without having to go through this top note before.
As fruity I do not feel this fragrance at all, also friendly is not an attribute that I would give him.
Now such impressions are of course highly subjective, but Pure Gold is unfortunately not for me and I must first recover from today's smelling experience, before I give him another chance.

The scent that awakens wanderlust
I confess, I am a blind buyer. Not always, but more often than would be reasonable. So also with this fragrance when I found a good offer. But, to come straight to the conclusion: I was lucky and I like it. Even decidedly good.

The fragrance starts very tangy citrusy, but with some tartness. I perceive the bitter peel of citrus rather than the pulp.
After about 2 hours evaporates on my skin the citrus note and makes way for the jasmine. Beginning still hand in hand with the fruits this takes over more and more the rudder and develops quite creamy, envelops me and is a pleasant companion.
Another 2 hours later, musk is then added and lets the fragrance fade gently.

When I wear Mandarino di Amalfi, I see myself on the terrace of a small restaurant with a white metal fence in Positano, below us the sea, the sun slowly sinking lower and in front of us on the table a bubbly homemade lemon mint limo style. I in a white summer dress, my companion in a light linen shirt.
As the day slowly fades into evening and the blue hour settles over us and the sea, the smell of the flowers around us increases and makes us sigh in comfort. The world is all right for a little moment, there is only us, the sea and the smells of an Italian summer night.

Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute...
In search of an apricot fragrance (THE apricot fragrance, which I already chase for years) I also came across Pink Molecule.
Since I'm still pretty much at the beginning of my "fragrance journey" and had not yet made major forays into the niche world, the name Zarkoperfumes said nothing to me. Briefly googled and to my delight saw that the fragrance was in stock in the resident turquoise D, so booked an appointment and there.
Unfortunately, I then had only 5 minutes to test it, but because the prelude smelled so wonderfully tangy (if for me rather the elderflower dominates instead of the hoped for apricot) and even through the mask, I took him with me on short notice.
At home then sniffed again and again on the wrist and it developed wonderfully warm, soft woody notes. Since I was then convinced to have made a good purchase.

Now comes unfortunately the big BUT: These woody notes, which rounded off the fragrance for me so wonderfully, I take now after repeated testing unfortunately no longer war. The fragrance remains with me as wonderfully tangy as at the beginning, but undergoes no change. In addition, I probably belong to the people with whom the durability is rather very low, which I find a shame. After 3 hours, I must already very close to the wrist to catch a glimpse of what has spread there earlier still so good mood.

All in all, I am somewhat indifferent to this fragrance: The prelude blows me away, is wonderfully tangy, sparkling and makes me in a good mood, but the performance can unfortunately not meet my expectations.
Nonetheless, I will continue to wear my first "niche fragrance" with pleasure, thinking of spring, blossoming trees and champagne picnic and just spray a little more often :).
