Wow. It can happen so quickly and I am in love. Exactly with this fragrance. I now understand why many "Bal D'afrique" users associate this scent with the words cheerful, happy, and joyful. It radiates exactly that. A cheerful summer fragrance that, with its charming, cozy nature, truly invites everyone to dance.

I actually imagined this scent to be more exotic and flamboyant. But fortunately, it is not. It is really super pleasant. Sweet, rather warm than cold, and beautiful. It smells a bit like the breeze that comes towards you when you walk past Lush. I totally love it! And even though it is sweet, it is not heavy at all. It is more like a soft, delicate cloud. Wonderful!

Whether I would actually wear this fragrance, I don't know. But it is definitely a masterpiece. Replica is almost always spot on with its scents and their descriptions. "Lipstick On" is exactly what it says. A perfume that smells like lipstick. However, it is this vintage lipstick that you might (if you're lucky) still find in grandma's makeup box.

The scent is powdery, matte, and has a slightly bitter note. It is not sweet at all and not floral. It is not gourmand and not fresh, not citrusy and not aquatic. It is simply completely extraordinary. You have to like that. And it puzzles me how they have created these 1 to 1 authentic lipstick notes. Just that alone is a reason why I must own this perfume. Because it is simply totally unique! I am really surprised and half a fan, just because of this execution. It is, so to speak, vintage in a bottle. Incredible! Time travel is indeed possible..... at least in thought. Really super interesting. I wouldn't know when to wear this scent, and yet I am absolutely thrilled!

Association: pure summer wellness vacation. I am sitting in the sauna and am deeply relaxed. The infusion drips onto the hot stone. Hmm mandarin. Fresh and zesty meets hot stone. The typical sauna scent. I don’t want to leave this place. I look through the glass pane. Behind it, I see the outdoor pool with a small splashing waterfall. In the background, the large green trees bask in the evening sun. Wonderful! I enjoy the silence and am in the here and now.

This scent is so beautiful. I smelled it for the first time today and I am in love. The mandarin smells so fresh. Not at all stale or powdery. And the basil note gives it that special something. This scent smells exactly like a sauna. It smells of spa, wellness, relaxation, and vacation. A fragrance that makes me dream! I am thrilled!

Wow, this is quite an interesting creation. "Ylang in Gold": OBVIOUSLY! First of all, it must be said that this bottle and the "golden juice" inside looks really beautiful and elegant. It's not just the nose that benefits from it, but also the eye.

Now, onto the scent:
What I immediately perceive is a green, absolutely tropical vanilla in my nose. Ylang-Ylang is rather further back and doesn't come through as much for me, and that's good. Otherwise, it could have been a bit too much. Another prominent note is the coconut, which smells very fresh, more like a green coconut and not as "nutty" as one usually knows. Really very nice! When I close my eyes, I am on a tropical beach, sipping fruity cocktails with alcohol (which you can definitely smell strongly in a positive sense). The sun sparkles on the surface of the sea. In the background, beautiful colorful tropical flowers dance in the wind. A gentle breeze carries a light vanilla sunscreen note into my nose. Oh yes, summer is so wonderful and carefree.

All in all, it is an incredibly interesting and pleasant summer fragrance. I am a big fan!

"Replica - By The Fireplace". I imagined you quite differently, and yet you impress me so incredibly much!

The first spray: "Hmm, strange. Smoky, vanilla, mystical, incense-like. Not my thing. Or is it? ..... Noooo ..... Oh, I have no idea, I'm confused."
Even though the name describes this scent so incredibly well, I didn't expect this olfactory experience at all. I imagined it to be a different kind of smoky, a different kind of sweet (more in the marshmallow direction), and generally just completely different. And yet I couldn't keep my hands off it. I had to keep sniffing it, and as so often happens, this perfume also had its turning point. After two days, I got used to its nature, to its character, and fell in love. Even though the smoky and sweet notes smell completely different than expected. It is very unique and definitely makes a statement. It is sweet, smoky, and has this spice that makes the scent so unisex. It is incredibly cozy and somehow mysterious but in a modern way. The longevity and sillage are amazing! And when you apply it to the skin and sniff it half an hour later, it develops such a pleasant sweetness and breathtaking beauty.
What I had to get used to is this incense stick note. It is certainly not for everyone. However, it perfectly rounds off the scent and gives it exactly that certain something that makes it so unique.
I am thrilled and in love! It is certainly more of a scent for the cooler seasons, but I would also sit by this campfire in the summer and watch the dancing flames with a vanilla ice cream.
