Authentic
Similar to Raspy Oud by Aromas de Salazar, Oud Vanilla is a two-dimensional fragrance - despite other ingredients. The vanilla is not recognizable as actual vanilla; rather, it merely brings a subtle sweetness. According to Michael Salazar, this fragrance is concentrated at 50% fragrance oil content. 30% of the entire composition is made up of Cambodian oud alone. I agree with the one previous review of this fragrance and also consider it very 'cokey'. Unlike my predecessor, however, I think the fragrance is quite successful and harmonious. It undoubtedly takes some getting used to, but in my opinion it is an extremely authentic representation and staging of the smell of pure Cambodian oud. Admittedly, I too consider the fragrance more of an interesting experience of the raw resource 'oud' than a fully realized perfume, yet I like it very much. Some time ago I had the pleasure of smelling natural Cambodian oud oil and it smelled identical except for a few nuances, which in the end are probably still (and even if not differentially perceptible) conditionally influenced by the other ingredients of oud vanilla. For this reason, I consider Oud Vanille to be a kind of successful sprayable oil attar. In case anyone wonders if it is comparable to The History Of Cambodian Oud by Areej Le Doré: No, it is not, which is probably due not only to the quality and maturity of the oud used, the processing/blending, but mainly to the other ingredients in Oud Vanille.

Two dimensional ombre nomad
I was able to get hold of one of the last bottles, which led to the fact that with the sale of the fragrance unfortunately also the official description of it disappeared from Michael Salazar's site.
Raspy Oud contains this according to genuine Cambodian and Assam Oud, which provides a distinctly animalic base.
The strange thing, however, is that the intense raspberry note, which is actually the head and heart, lasts the longest. 24h after wearing and a shower, this note is still perceptible. A happiness, because I think the combination is very successful, although I also due to the extreme durability of the actual top note in this case assume a certain synthetic nature of this.
Since I perceive exclusively slightly acidic (bergamot) raspberry and the oud, but neither jasmine nor tuberose, and these two perceptible odors are clearly distinguishable from each other, I consider Raspy Oud a two-dimensional, albeit better variant of Ombre Nomade. There is no progression. A great fragrance.

Vintage floral
Reinterpretation of a 'vintage floral fragrance' probably sums it up best - as described on the Mallo website. Slightly indolic but beautiful jasmine; lots of it.... Perfect, acidic, damp animalic of civet on an Assam oud base. Reminds me of Oudh Infini in terms of the kind of animalic. Too bad only 100 bottles were made. A rare 10/10...
