A beautiful citrus forest fragrance

Many thanks to Nick for the bottling of Siberian Musk III :-) I am quite taken with it and find these woody, resinous but also citric accords really beautiful. Siberian Musk III | Areej Le Doré" is said to be similar to Siberian Musk Part II Extrait de Parfum. Certain parallels can definitely be recognized, but for me these are clearly different in the course of the fragrance. The longevity is strong at over 12 hours and the sillage is also successful so far.

The top note offers a great combination of citrus fruits and coniferous forest. I recognize lime, bergamot, pine needles, fir resin and cypress. As it also smells animalic, I am curiously reminded of a freshly cleaned toilet. Maybe you know what it's like when they smell so citrusy-fresh and resinous :D The heart note reminds me of a walk through conifers and it remains citrusy and animalic. Musk then comes out strongly. Galbanum also provides green and balsamic notes. Some menthol and eucalyptus linger in the background. The base is accompanied by earthy notes. Here I can still sniff out oud and some patchouli.

Yes, the Siberian Musk III can confidently be described as a success.

Oh how beautiful Panama is

"Panama smells like bananas from top to bottom."

You're probably thinking I wasn't sniffing Siberian Musk III, but glue. But if Siberia smells like SBM III, "from top to bottom", then book me a ticket fast!

Oh how beautiful Siberia sounds in my head. SBM III takes me on a journey and never lets me go. Mysterious, wild, but also so infinitely wide and free. An incomparable network of fragrances that captivate me and do not take me to a familiar place or memory, on the contrary, they show me something new.

ALD and Russian Adam have delivered a masterpiece here and that's where the shortage starts to hurt. This clearly proves that the perfumer's craft is a unique art.

About the fragrance:
What excites me most about this fragrance is the way in which the top notes, heart and base are woven together in such an incomparable way that I am a little overwhelmed at first. Everything flows into me and creates images of wild landscapes.

In the opening, SBM III takes you into a beautiful pine forest, but then there is also a certain fresh citricism that conjures up lights in the forest. This is how the journey begins.

Very quickly, a wonderful, spicy animalic flows through my head and magically combines with woods, light citrus and lays me down on a soft bed of amber and patchouli. Earthy, mossy, warm, soft.

I am completely immersed and come to rest, feeling strong and grounded.

And then I'm curious to see how the journey continues. Let's wait and see! Boarding completed. All doors in flight!

Chypre blast with punch of green bright forest and musk

Bright and pungent green, lots of green screwing into the nose like the smell of grated horseradish. The beginning is bright like the color of citrus mixed with the green of a radiant forest. The farther into that forest, the more you smell pines and aromatic cypresses. This strong and sharp as a sunbeam beginning of the chypre fragrance can be felt for a very long time. After a while, the fragrance gets gently darker, as if walking deeper into the forest, we would encounter less and less permeable light. We then begin to sense animal notes. More and more in the base of this fragrance we come to the scents of musk, strong and animalic musk. A great journey for me and a great fragrance. Persistence very good-just 2, max 3 puffs. Projection also very good. I've been waiting for this 3rd version and I've happily lived to see it. Piece of art

A Solid Musk perfume

My least favorite from this Classic collection, and still a perfume that I really like and enjoy. That kinda tells you how good this collection was. Now, the reason that I am not crazy about the Siberian Musk trilogy, and the Russian Musk brothers, is that I'm not the biggest fan of pine, greens, and citruses. There are only a handful of those perfumes that I love, so I'm very picky with them. Still, I very much enjoy this perfume, just like Russian Musk 2, but I prefer this one over the latter. Mostly because this one is muskier, more ambery, dusty, and dry, and it has a beautiful leathery and smoky quality to it. RM 2 is more polite, and tame. The opening of SM3 is full of greenery. Juicy and sparkling citruses, green, wet grass, bitter galbanum, and pine. Just underneath this green landscape, there is an ambery glow, akin to the Orient, a hint of warm desert sand, frankincense smoke, and regal, leathery musk. The greens stay through the dry-down, but the resinous-musk core makes it a beautiful journey for me. I think this one pulls off a very good balance, landing right in the middle between compositions like Russian Musk and Prin's Mongolian Mriga. I'd take this one over the first, and sometimes even over the latter, as some days the strong animalic character in Mongolian Mriga is too much to carry through the day.
