A golden, spicy-resinous scent that feels like warm light on a winter afternoon
Spicy, but not in the expected sense. This isn’t your typical cardamom or pepper heat. The spice here is warm and golden. I immediately suspected saffron was in the mix, and sure enough, it’s there.

What really surprised me is how this scent manages to be both ambery and fresh at the same time. The resins bring in that richness, giving it a warm hum, but there's also a zing, not citrus exactly, but a lightness that keeps the warmth from ever feeling stuffy or syrupy. I can also smell the anise, maybe that's what adds a little spicy sparkle. It’s sweet, spicy, resinous, and yet not heavy.

This is a perfect winter scent, but it has enough lift to also work in early spring or a cool summer evening. It’s complex, soothing, and quietly powerful - my top pick from the entire discovery set.

Bitter melon and seaweed
This one had me intrigued from the start. The opening is hard to pin down. It’s somewhere between green and citrus, but not in the typical sharp way. There’s a cucumber-melon freshness, a cooling clarity that feels hydrating rather than juicy. I couldn’t detect jasmine, and there's no sweetness. Everything here is green, crisp, and slightly vegetal.

At first, I thought this would be a strong contender for me for gym or active days, thanks to that invigorating freshness in the opening. It felt clean, neutral, and refreshing. The kind of scent that won’t offend anyone, but still adds a touch of interest. However, as it started to develop and settle, I quickly realized I don’t think I’d actually be able to wear it. It becomes too earthy, salty, and green in a way that’s more conceptual than wearable for me.

As it dries down, it smells less like fruit and more like dried autumn leaves. There’s a definite shift in mood - from summer brightness to early autumn stillness. Later on, something unexpected creeps in: a hint of saltiness and dry seaweed, like standing near the edge of a lake with fallen leaves all around. It's not aquatic in a blue way, but more like green water.

Strange, but interesting

Fresh, serene and a touch poetic
This one surprised me. I was bracing myself for an overwhelming rose-forward scent, but instead I got something soft, delicate, and green - more like a tea rose bush than a bouquet. The rose appears at the very start, light and dewy, and then fades into the background, leaving behind green sap, fig leaf, and what I can only describe as fresh spring shoots in cool morning air.

There’s a watery, garden-fresh feel to it, as if you're walking through a garden just before anything blooms, all stems and branches, moist earth and quiet promise. The fig note comes through more as fig wood or twig rather than fruit. The green freshness keeps it grounded and unisex.

Toward the end, the rose makes a gentle return, soft, faint and still dewy. Of all the rose scents I’ve tried, this might be the one I can actually wear. It feels like my kind of rose - quiet, understated, a little melancholic.

Wearability-wise, this fits beautifully into a spring morning or even a gym scent for those who want something fresh, serene, and a touch poetic.

Scent
Tea ritual where they smoke the tea first, but then there’s no more smoke left
The opening is unexpectedly juicy - a flash of peach sweetness hits first, but it vanishes almost instantly, like a memory evaporating. What follows is a moody evolution: smoke, cacao, and rich amber take over, creating a warm, slightly boozy haze. It feels like sipping an expensive fruit tea in a quiet, winter tea house.

Notes Detected & Evolution:

Top: Fleeting burst of peach and perhaps plum, but very short-lived

Heart: Cacao emerges quickly, dry and unsweetened, accompanied by smoke

Base: amber, and soft woods

A sweet resinous tone lingers, giving the impression of a tea infused with dark syrup and spice

There’s a mild boozy warmth in the background, like a dash of spiced liquor

This perfume transported me straight to my uni winters in Latvia - trudging through snow, ducking into cozy cafes to warm up with dark, fruity teas that you’d never make at home. It’s intimate, nostalgic, slightly melancholy. There’s no actual smoke lingering in the drydown, which is incredibly unique. It’s as if the tea was smoked… and you’re left with the story, not the fire.

This perfume is firmly in my winter fragrance category. I’d reserve it for cold nights, reading by the window, or evening walks under streetlights and frost.
Despite its richness, it’s not cloying or heavy, thanks to that clever smoked-tea illusion. The balance between fruit, amber, and smoke is delicate but memorable.

Verdict:
Emotional and cozy, like a steaming mug in winter hands. This scent tells a quiet, introspective story.
Ranked: #2 (seasonal favorite) for winter wear only, but a strong personal connection.

Timber chest with memories
Tea Service hits immediately with an amped-up oolong tea. Not the quiet, meditative kind you sip in silence, but a bold, fragrant version with intensity turned up to 200%. It’s deeply floral, with jasmine rising fast and prominent, bringing a perfumed, slightly waxy edge.

Surprisingly, this fragrance conjured the scent of an old cobbler’s shop - leather, timber, shoe polish, even dust. It unlocked a vivid, deeply personal memory. It smells exactly like my grandfather’s home (he was a cobbler): timber floors, old leather tools, and that peculiar combination of polish, wood, and quiet stillness.

Notable Notes I Could Detect:

Oolong tea – bold and sharp, almost herbal at times

Jasmine – heavily present, adding floral density

Leather/Polish – not listed, but unmistakably evoked (nostalgic and intimate rather than animalic)

Dry wood tones – linking back to timber floors and old-world interiors

This isn’t a perfume I can wear - too much emotion, too strange, too much like opening a memory chest. And yet, I can’t stop smelling it. It’s haunting in the best way. I wouldn’t call it beautiful in the traditional sense, but it’s artistic, arresting, and a little ghostly.

Personal Note:
While I wouldn’t reach for this to wear out, I deeply respect what it’s doing. It’s one of those rare scents that tells a story, and it happens to overlap with mine in a very personal, almost surreal way.

Verdict:
Not wearable for me, but unforgettable. A scent time capsule.
Ranked: #6 out of 6 (not due to lack of quality, but wearability. Who knows, though, i mught come back to it again).
