The good triplet of the Arab brothers
I have now tested Haltane, Oud for Greatness and Oud for Glory. Yes, they are triplets. This one is the most relaxed of them all, with the fewest edges. A really sociable type that you would love to smoke a shisha with. Oud for Greatness, on the other hand, is the alpha... the loud brother. Always a bit louder than the other two and sometimes causes embarrassment because he goes over the top. Last but not least, the Oud for Glory. Clumsy and more or less the follower. Always wants to be like his brothers but no matter what he does, he never gets close to them.

Nevertheless, they are identical triplets. They look more or less the same, but they all have their own character. And of these character types, Haltane is the one I like the most.
Simply a chilled dude.

He's the roundest, the softest and also the sweetest of them all.

Longevity and sillage are top tier, only the application possibilities are very rare. I like the fragrance. I wear it now and then for myself and at home. And it is also suitable as an introduction to the Arabian world. But I can't use it in everyday life.

The angels share with us
The Arabic word "khamrah" means alcohol or intoxicating drink. And even if the similarity to AngelsShare is only limited, it describes this fragrance very well. Intoxicating, beguiling and, above all, highly addictive. The Angels Share describes the whisky portion that evaporates from the barrels and is given to the angels. The khamrah is then presumably what the angels left for us to taste during Advent.

Gourmand, praline-sweet, slightly liqueur-like. Simply delicious and perfect for the time around Christmas.
And in the old Christmas tradition, here's a poem for the good-smelling Santa Claus:

A dance on the skin, a fire in the blood,
Khamrah that floods hearts with passion'
It shimmers clearly in the golden bottle,
a drop of Christmas, a whisper in the hair.
So spray it when it gets cold with respect and care, khamrah, an angel's gift that brings us joy.
Let us scent together, in friendship and happiness, with khamrah in our hearts, a true moment. Merry Christmas!

I guess it's clear what I mean...it shares first place in my Christmas scents with Spicebomb Extreme. And now, in mid-February, I'm already looking forward to the pre-Christmas season and the first mulled wine with khamrah on my skin.

Video killed the Radio Star
Just as almost all of us know this song, all of us (here on parfumo at least) should know this absolutely amazing fragrance. And if you don't yet, you should change that as soon as possible. Because what you get here is really great radio ...ehm cinema.

I don't know if it's a "clone" of Paragon (I don't know it) but it's certainly a work of art that could easily cost 10 times as much and come from a niche house. You get a pleasantly soft, sugary-sweet plum, marinated in sage and processed into a delicious, creamy dessert.
Somehow the whole thing doesn't seem modern, literally vintage. But that's what I love about it. You know that old sepia effect in photos? That's how everything looks when you apply it. So beige, warm, soft. Like when the sun is very low in early fall and conjures up such a warm reddish light on the walls. I think it's called Golden Hour. The fragrance is the golden hour for me.
Lattafa has gone above and beyond.

Vintage Radio has been my signature fragrance this winter, so to speak, and never before have I received so many compliments from complete strangers in public. My better half also wears it from time to time and I think it's fabulous on her too. Clearly unisex, anyway.

Durability and sillage are terrific, almost BeastMode.

And the packaging and the bottle also make a very high-quality and stylish impression.

Unfortunately, I have seen that it is currently no longer available. As soon as that changes, I'll be stocking up for the next 10 years. It's that good. For me, the best lattafa fragrance so far.

Sweet, juicy, exotic - pineapple
If you like pineapple, you need this fragrance....immediately!
A fruity, super ripe and sweet pineapple.
Opening: Pineapple! With a certain freshness.
Drydown: Pineapple! but now still hanging on the stem and therefore slightly woody.
Concluding: Pineapple! Only now close to the skin and somehow creamier. Pineapple sorbet, so to speak.

The whole thing is not artificially synthetic. It's really like cutting open a well-ripened pineapple. In this case, it really jumps out at you. But this powerful, fruity pineapple quickly becomes more restrained and therefore absolutely wearable. Especially at the height of summer when you're ordering cocktails at the beach bar and want to smell like the garnish of those cocktails...that's right, like pineapple!

Maybe you noticed it while reading ... pineapple!
Up to here 11 times pineapple...now 12.

But this inflationary use of the word pineapple simply describes this pineapple fragrance best. Pineapple

The fresh newcomer
First of all, yes it is "K" but somehow sweaty.
When you look at the fragrance pyramid, you expect a "freshy". Something freshly showered. But for me it's exactly the opposite. I find it musty and sweaty for reasons that are not yet clear. The lemon or bergamot was probably a little overripe. Or is it the wilted rose? Somehow everything is so mixed up.
It's nothing for me anyway.
However, it becomes more pleasant as soon as the cardamom takes over in the drydown and leaves a little woody after a few hours. But why should I "torture" myself through a musty opening when it only gets better but not really good and ends again after 3 hours?

Better the original then. K seems more orderly and not so stale.
