Finally I have you, you signature scent
The Paragon is my first serious fragrance love. After testing several times, I got me the bottle. I have also dedicated a worthy review to him, which you can also read under the said fragrance. But here it is about the Vintage Radio , a fragrance I saw by chance as similar to the Paragon here on Parfumo.

I would have to test him of course as a very cheap variant and bought him immediately as a blind buy. And what can I say: of all things, the few small shortcomings that I could attribute to the Initio child, the Lattafa fixes in all perfection, namely the lightness and the weak sillage of the expensive fragrance. But even if it is, I do not necessarily want to compare both fragrances but describe this sweetheart as he is. Whether it is a twin to the more expensive fragrance, I am not able to judge.

The fragrance starts wonderfully fruity-creamy, which fruit does not open up to me. The opening is a bit bitingly powdery, but the powderiness settles pretty quickly and the creaminess radiates with all its power. The sandalwood base also comes out pretty directly, as the good wood doesn't seem to want to wait until everyone is ready. After that, the scent remains relatively linear, perceptible without further surprises for hours, and by that I really mean many hours. Just gorgeous, present, radiantly beautiful fruity-creamy and pretty on your face...

Due to the strong volume of the fruit and the woods, I can not smell the lavender, which I find a pity. For this you have a solid fragrance, which roughly smelled the Paragon very similar. Alone the killer performance and the unbeatable price make this fragrance a perfect everyday fragrance, if you like the scent direction fruit cocktail + a ton of cream and want to smell fancy unique.

For me, this is the everyday version of this rare fragrance. Very present, beautiful, strong sillage, keeps really bomb, with a spritz it drowns out all other existing residual fragrances that try to still adhere to my clothes or hair from earlier fragrance application.... In vain... The Vintage Radio is loud, creamy and beautiful. Just the way I like it.

I find the fragrance to be rather feminine. In addition, I do not smell at all this typical oriental powderiness, which I often find in Arabic fragrance manufacturers. That was my fear that the Vintage Radio also carries this DNA, which I have so often in many other Lattafa fragrances. But nope, this fragrance is absolutely "jasmine" free for me. Nothing against jasmine, but I already have so many fragrances that contain this jasmine powdery DNA, I'm happy about every fragrance that comes without this characteristic.

I wear it every day now. To work, to shopping, during the week everywhere.... My beautiful (and expensive) fragrance collection I leave for evenings, weekends or whenever I want to smell different or more expensive.

For those who already love the Paragon , like me, a great simple alternative. However, if you want to savor this deep, mysterious and expensive aura of the fragrance as its own advantage, then he will be disappointed. My secret tip: Simply both fragrances on the shelf for the appropriate occasions to have always ready

All those who like it fruity-creamy, could also dare a blind purchase. For all those who still do not dare, there is also the souk, simply wonderful A tester it is worth at most

I hope to have helped you with my review in the purchase decision, insbesondes for the Paragon lovers faction here on this beautifully scented Parfumo page

Best regards
Christianne

The other day at Breuninger
I have to admit, I've only been involved with niche perfumes for just under a year now. But my curiosity and passion for everything new and what simply smells particularly good is all the greater.

And so, a few weeks ago, we went on a family trip to Karlsruhe. As we strolled past Breuninger, I remembered: Stiiiimmt, they also have a more upmarket range. At least that's what one or two perfumers wrote here.

So we entered the store and my wife looked at me seriously :D I have to say that we are not the type of "people" or the classic Brenuninger clientele who come here to shop. I hope I'm not offending anyone, but we're just normal "average consumers". Let's call it that.

When I arrived in the perfume department, I was completely flabbergasted. I felt like a little kid in a candy store. My pulse was racing. I say all these niche brands that I only knew from bottlings or YouTube videos live and in color. I cautiously approached one of the sales assistants and politely asked if I could test the Initio fragrances. He was totally relaxed and said of course I would love to. So I tested my way through and, to be honest, I liked the Paragaon best. Nice fresh opening. This light, creative, balsamic note and then this incredibly creamy plum. I also imagine I can smell a hint of cinnamon. Incredibly seductive too. Simply magnificent. Then there was just the matter of the price. Since the beginning of my "perfume addiction", I have set myself a clear limit of no more than €150 per bottle. And I'm sticking to that. And I didn't let myself be tempted on this day either.

Somehow, however, I couldn't get the fragrance out of my head and so I searched and searched for at least one alternative in the evening at the end of our trip. In vain!

A few days ago, the good Scent Jay uploaded a video on YouTube. My first thought was, "Old dad, that bottle is ugly" :D What's with the weird radio on it? But as the saying goes: Don't judge a book by it's cover. I took a look at it. Aha! So it's supposed to smell like the Paragon? My attention was only focused on the video. I think I watched it twice in a row :D But since my experience with Lataffa is such a thing and I want to do something piano at the moment in terms of collecting bottles (it's really expensive), I only ordered a small 20 ml mini bottle.

Unpacked the thing and realized, wow cool standard glass bottle and not grotesquely ugly. The 20 ml, mind you. Then sprayed it on and floated on cloud nine. I looked at my wife and just grinned. She looked at me and said, is that the dupe from Breuninger? And how! Oh, it smells delicious, she added. I have to say, my wife has exactly one signature fragrance that she rocks and that's enough for her. I really envy her for that. I tend to annoy her with my fragrances :D

Now to the fragrance. I have to say, very well hit but there are minimal deviations. To me, the Lataffa is a touch sweeter and therefore slightly more feminine. In my opinion, it is still just in the unisex segment, but for someone who now prefers more masculine fragrances, this one may come across as too feminine. Otherwise, you really have a very similar progression to Paragon here. The slightly citrusy opening of bergamot? this incredibly great plum. Wonderfully seductive creaminess. It doesn't have the depth that Paragon has, but for the price it's still an absolute steal! One last thing: I don't know why, but the scent (especially on drydown) gives me a winter version of Malibu Party in the Bay. That creamy, fruity finish. I wore Malibu a lot this summer and somehow it reminded me of it (apart from the coconut note).

At the end of the day, of course, it has my recommendation to buy :-)

If you are unsure, just buy the 20 ml version. Addiction factor level over 9000 the part.

Video killed the Radio Star
Just as almost all of us know this song, all of us (here on parfumo at least) should know this absolutely amazing fragrance. And if you don't yet, you should change that as soon as possible. Because what you get here is really great radio ...ehm cinema.

I don't know if it's a "clone" of Paragon (I don't know it) but it's certainly a work of art that could easily cost 10 times as much and come from a niche house. You get a pleasantly soft, sugary-sweet plum, marinated in sage and processed into a delicious, creamy dessert.
Somehow the whole thing doesn't seem modern, literally vintage. But that's what I love about it. You know that old sepia effect in photos? That's how everything looks when you apply it. So beige, warm, soft. Like when the sun is very low in early fall and conjures up such a warm reddish light on the walls. I think it's called Golden Hour. The fragrance is the golden hour for me.
Lattafa has gone above and beyond.

Vintage Radio has been my signature fragrance this winter, so to speak, and never before have I received so many compliments from complete strangers in public. My better half also wears it from time to time and I think it's fabulous on her too. Clearly unisex, anyway.

Durability and sillage are terrific, almost BeastMode.

And the packaging and the bottle also make a very high-quality and stylish impression.

Unfortunately, I have seen that it is currently no longer available. As soon as that changes, I'll be stocking up for the next 10 years. It's that good. For me, the best lattafa fragrance so far.

Paragon from Lattafa
I have Paragon and can make a direct comparison.
They are incredibly similar.

Great dark plum, spicy and authentic sage, become both woody and slightly resinous through amberwood.

A very clean and complex fragrance, beautifully dark and mysterious - without any patchouli.
I can see the spicy and sweet plum on colder days.
Durability and sillage unbeatable for this price.

And for the price, Initio should scare.
But only of what's inside. The bottle and name are pretty sad in my opinion.

Smoothie....
So, supposedly a counterpart to Paragon, I can't and don't want to say anything about that.

Now many people don't like the bottle....I don't think it's bad at all...at least it's something different from the many simple glass bottles.
The fragrance itself is buttery soft...it doesn't offend...a little sweet, a little fruity with something floral and ...yes, in a word, simply creamy.

I have received compliments from men and women at work...I had to ask if you can smell the fragrance well...because I am really smell-blind with it.
If I sniff my arm or shirt directly, then yes...but otherwise I don't even notice it myself.

The fragrance is definitely unisex....if not more for women.

As I personally like fragrances that have a bit of a kick, it's going into my wife's collection...she's delighted.

Very refreshing, however it's a bit too feminine for me. It's fruity, woody as well as a bit powdery. A solid fragrance but not groundbreaking.
