Actually, I wanted to make the usual rounds for Christmas gifts at KaDeWe last November. So I went to the usual suspects: Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, and Co.
This year, in my opinion, there was nothing special that tempted me to buy for the annual Christmas celebration.


I was just about to head back home when a soft, peppery scent stopped me, and lo and behold, I found myself in front of a stand showcasing the new fragrances from The Alchemist’s Garden.

When I asked the nice consultant what kind of scent my nose was experiencing, she showed me Muschio di Luce.

Initially, I clearly considered this fragrance to be feminine, as it smelled strongly powdery and sweet at first. Nevertheless, I had it sprayed on me. My suspicion was confirmed.

But after about 10 minutes (we had a good conversation :) ), this light, almost cloud-like sweetness dissipated and transformed into a creamy, warm sandalwood embrace, rounded off with a delicate musk and a light freshness.

As a man, I was pleasantly surprised that a fragrance that initially smelled feminine could change so profoundly.

I was convinced and bought it. I wore it as a test over a few days and became more and more convinced, even daring to apply 6-7 sprays on my skin and clothing.

After a month, I can say that I have become very fond of this fragrance and I no longer want to miss it in my daily life (especially when it’s colder). From “You smell really good today” to “I’ve never smelled anything like this” (meant positively), I received many favorable opinions.

Currently, I apply about 7 sprays, and especially on lambswool, I could even sense a slightly leathery nuance.

In summary, I can say that this light, yet musky and still multifaceted fragrance is excellent for anyone who wants to smell something out of the ordinary.

I would purchase it again anytime, even as a man, despite some initial skepticism.

Let’s start at the beginning:
I was on my way to my trusted Louis Vuitton store to originally test the 2023 LV Pacific Chill. Since I wasn't impressed by it during testing, the staff member showed me this gem, which I immediately took home right after our conversation!
Having only heard about this fragrance so far, I was curious and excited to find out what so many people liked about it.

Upon the first spray of this fragrance, I was immediately hit with a week of robust aquatic freshness, directly combined with the citrus kick I hoped for in a summer perfume.
I felt like with just one spray on my forearm, I filled the entire room with this scent. Generally, I can already say that I smell this fragrance on myself all day long, and it hardly fades at all.
Shortly after spraying this fragrance, notes of spicy ginger and slightly sweet neroli blossoms developed. This added a depth to the scent that I hadn't expected.

Even after a few hours, the fragrance is still very active and detectable in a small radius!

The sillage of this fragrance is phenomenal. After spraying it at home, I went to visit friends, and even while sitting outside, this scent was so present that I was approached multiple times and received compliments.

Now I come to a point that initially deterred me a bit: the hype.
At first, I was somewhat torn about whether this fragrance was too widespread for me. After all, you pay a hefty price, and you want to smell unique.
However, I can say that I have not yet met anyone in my city who wears this fragrance, and I also don’t know anyone who owns it, so for me, it’s perfect!
In my opinion, this fragrance is definitely still unique!

All in all:
If you're looking for a luxury fragrance for summer, celebrating bergamot/citrus notes with spicy ginger and sweet neroli blossoms, and are willing to pay a bit more, you can't go wrong with this fragrance. Even in 2024, it remains one of the best summer scents, and the hype is definitely still justified. And especially at 30 degrees Celsius plus, this fragrance still performs so well that I’m happy to pay a bit more.
I am very satisfied, and I believe many others will be too!

I was determined to find a summer fragrance from Xerjoff. So, I made my way to my trusted perfumery and sought advice. Since I hadn't owned any Xerjoff perfume at that time, I was even more curious...

After some back and forth, the salesperson showed me this gem, and it blew me away from the very first second! (not just because of the bottle)
After spraying it on that hot day, I was greeted by an immediate scent of the described citrus-mint that instantly transported me to the beach with a mojito in hand.

I was so pleasantly surprised that I didn't think twice and took it home right away - and I have no regrets!

This combination of green mint along with the slightly herbal basil note and the fresh citrus note captivated and held me.
Whether it's a relaxed day at the beach or a late-night dinner at the bar, this perfume fits perfectly. With this scent, you always smell fresh and summery.

Especially for summer, the longevity of such a fragrance is very important. The performance is really good. It’s more than enough to apply 2-3 (or even 4) sprays in the morning and still have some left by the afternoon.

To keep it brief regarding the sillage, I'll just say that people turned around to catch a whiff of this wonderful scent!

Is it worth the money to join the Xerjoff club? Definitely YES!!

As a beginner fragrance for summer, this one is perfect. Fresh, minty, and citrus round out this perfume and make it one of my favorites that I don't want to be without!

To put it briefly: Yes.

I haven't owned this fragrance for long, and in this time, I've received more compliments than with many other scents I've had for much longer. Unfortunately, I could only get a version after the reformation, so I can't compare it to the old one.

Upon the first spray, a direct citrus/apple-like freshness comes through with a slight peppery note. After a while, a fruity pineapple note joins this peppery note, bringing even more freshness but also a hint of light smoke. Underneath, the bergamot and apple notes are still present.
I would say it's nearly the perfect balance between freshness and spiciness.
You can wear this fragrance in everyday situations at work, in the club, or at other events. It's a true all-rounder. And everywhere you go, there's a little bonus of a compliment...

In my opinion, the longevity is quite good. I applied 2 sprays in the morning before work and could smell it actively for about 4 hours. After that, it faded a bit.
I must say the sillage is really great. After spraying, I went into another room, and you could almost follow me blindly. So really good.

All in all: A truly very good fragrance, or as some others would say, a king of scents. However, one must be careful about how many sprays to apply; otherwise, it can quickly become overwhelming. But the money is definitely worth it for such a fantastic summer perfume.

I got it because everyone has the scent and wanted to see how it smells on me. I must say, I was surprised.

No matter what event you are at, there is always someone wearing this fragrance, and that's a good thing. At first, a hint of lemon comes through, which quickly transforms into a spicy, peppery scent, yet remains fresh. I wore this fragrance at a family gathering in the summer and received positive feedback, and I should order it immediately for my father. That's when I realized that it's not just for young people, but the slightly older generation can also warm up to it.
However, I must say that the longevity is not that impressive. On a warm day, you might need to apply a spray or two to keep the sillage as it should be and to get the best out of this fragrance for the day.

In summary, I can say that you can definitely add this fragrance to your collection, no matter how many people are wearing it. You may not stand out particularly, but you still smell good and can even receive the occasional compliment.
