I had high expectations of SOL E SAMBA, especially at a price above the €100 mark. The name evokes associations of joie de vivre, fire and Brazilian passion - a homage to the vibrant Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, the fragrance falls far short of these expectations.

From the very first spray, the composition seems surprisingly flat and is more reminiscent of a cheap drugstore fragrance than a high-quality perfume in the premium segment. The heart note, which normally makes up the soul of a fragrance, remains weak and gives the impression of a rather unsuccessful attempt to create something "exotic".

Unfortunately, SOL E SAMBA is also not convincing in terms of longevity. After around two hours, the fragrance is barely perceptible.

What was meant to be a fragrant trip to Rio feels more like a detour. Unfortunately not a recommendation for me.

I sprayed on the Aqua di Sale fragrance that I received as a souk, and from the first spray I was captivated by it. I am reminded of something from the past, either from my childhood or youth, I can't quite put my finger on it, it smells calm but still present. I think it smells like the sea hitting driftwood and then coming to a halt on a rocky cliff.
It is really, really beautifully spicy, also tangy and fresh, just like you imagine the sea to be and it smells really salty and simply pleasant.
I would never have thought that I would like this fragrance, but I do.
Now the only question is, of course, do I buy a bottle of it or would I rather buy more bottles.
But one thing is for sure, I need more of this fragrance.
Even over 8 hours later, I can still smell the fragrance and I am simply very flashed.
