Dance Samba with Me
Sol E Samba really appeals to me.
Here, I want to counter the last negative statements and so on. I like this fruity, fresh scent with the green matcha character. Especially on warm days, the fragrance really shines!

The scent starts off wonderfully fruity, subtly fresh, and lightly green. It also has a gentle sweet fruitiness. The green touch comes from the matcha accord used. I generally love matcha, and I’m happy to smell it again in a fragrance. The matcha note doesn’t come across as extremely authentic, but I still really like it.

This mix of matcha and citrus notes lasts quite a long time, and I don’t really notice a strong scent development. The progression is quite linear, which I personally like because I find the impressions from the top notes simply fantastic.
A hint of juniper berry lightly tickles my nose, and otherwise, not much else happens.
Notes like tobacco or leather, for example, I can’t perceive at all.

Towards the end, it gains a slight bit of "warmth," but nothing more. Do I find that bad?
No! As mentioned, I enjoy the top note phase, so I’m completely fine with a fairly linear progression.

The longevity on my skin is about 7-8 hours.
However, the sillage is noticeably weaker. It doesn’t project particularly strongly. Relatively quickly, the scent becomes quite close to the skin.
There are moments, though, when it suddenly surrounds you again after many hours.
I should note that this only happens when it’s really, really warm.
Apparently, the warmth does the fragrance a lot of good.

Is the scent unisex wearable?
Definitely!
Sol E Samba works and smells excellent on both genders.

Unfortunately Disappointing
I had high expectations for SOL E SAMBA, especially at a price beyond the €100 mark. The name evokes associations of joie de vivre, fire, and Brazilian passion - a tribute to the vibrant Rio de Janeiro. Unfortunately, the fragrance falls far short of these expectations.

From the first spray, the composition feels surprisingly flat and resembles a cheap drugstore scent rather than a high-quality perfume in the premium segment. The heart note, which usually embodies the soul of a fragrance, remains powerless and gives more the impression of a poorly executed attempt to create something “exotic.”

In terms of longevity, SOL E SAMBA unfortunately does not impress either. After about two hours, the scent is hardly perceptible.

What was intended as a fragrant journey to Rio feels more like a detour. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Good-Mood Dance of the Fragrance Notes
A scent that really surprised me! Due to the rather colorful marketing campaign surrounding this fragrance launch, I had categorized it as very fruity-tropical and somewhat kitschy for myself. After being somewhat traumatized by "Erba Pura | Xerjoff," fruity summer scents have a hard time with me anyway.

But my curious nose couldn't resist Sol e Samba - luckily! Because this fragrance experience made my perfume-crazy heart dance.

I tested it directly on my skin, and the opening with lots of yuzu and matcha is exactly the sweet fruit cocktail I expected. But just before I could inevitably scrunch my face at such a sweet fruit rush, one of the most beautiful summer scents suddenly unfolded! A bitter spiciness quickly joins in (probably the cardamom or juniper), which counteracts the sweetness at the perfect moment. An absolute good-mood dance of the fragrance notes emerges - it's fun and makes you crave summer! A scent for hot temperatures or when you simply long for a summer mood.

I personally don't pick up on tobacco and fig leaf, but the cedarwood - oh yes! And I LOVE cedarwood. For me, it's definitely Chef's Kiss!
On my skin, the woody warmth also comes through really well and very prominently, a truly beautiful drydown.

After all the good vibes and dancing into the evening hours, I make myself comfortable on a leather sofa and enjoy the sunset - how beautiful life can be.

Barefoot in Brazil.
Rio. Beach bar. Salt in the hair, Caipi in hand, the wind plays with the summer dress. This is exactly how Sol e Samba smells.

Right from the first spray, juicy grapefruit explodes - zesty, slightly sweet, without ever feeling sticky. A fine hint of pepper tickles before a damp, green coolness emerges, reminiscent of wet palm leaves, giving the fragrance that tropical vibe.

Matcha? Not found on my skin. Instead, a soft amber finish later envelops the freshness, gently warming the scent without suffocating the grapefruit vibe.

Sol e Samba is absolutely unisex for me and perfect for anyone who loves grapefruit or is looking for a fragrance that simply lifts the spirits.

It remains bright, fresh, modern, and accompanies you through the day like a quiet reminder: It’s summer.

The Unexpected Summer Surprise
I received the scent as a 2ml sample with a Birkholz order.
I didn't think much of it and then one morning I just applied it.
And wow, one of the most beautiful top notes I have ever smelled.
It is not the loud summer scent, but the longevity is totally fine for me.
At first, it lingers lightly in the air and then becomes a bit more skin-close, which I find extremely pleasant in the height of summer. Every now and then, you catch a whiff of the scent. The matcha note with the citrus remains present for a long time until the fragrance fades into a soft woody, worn-down drydown.

I find the development of the scent beautiful and above all, it really lifts your spirits.
Alongside Gritti Pomelo Assoluto, my summer discovery of 2025.
If you're looking for a unique, lighter summer banger with good longevity, you're in the right place. For me, I can still smell the scent really well for about 6 hours, then it fades slightly but is still perceivable on the skin, just the base notes remain. I find that completely acceptable.

One more layering tip: with Uden Overdose, it gains more power, lasts a bit better, and harmonizes extremely well. If anyone has both, they should definitely give it a try. ^^

After a fruity, zesty opening it turns into disgusting, mainstream scent reminding CK Escape Men. Nope.

Tropical fruit compote that refreshes and goes well with hot temperatures.
Fast finish and almost only top notes noticeable.

Bright yuzu and fig opening, refined tobacco heart, but the musky-animalic base weakens its charm.

A special creation among fresh-green scents. A very balanced blend of zesty fruits, matcha, and a soft heart + base. Unisex.

The basic idea (fig green + yuzu/grapefruit) is great but somehow too loud, too shrill, too colorful, too artificially fruity. Haribo in beach party mode.

Casual fig, green-citrusy juniper-fresh. The fig is nicely toned down by the other notes, which I really like, as I have issues with fig...

Fruity like Tropifrutti, then creamy, then matcha - unusual, not too sweet, strong presence. Wow!
