Dance Samba with Me
Sol E Samba really appeals to me.
Here, I want to counter the last negative statements and so on. I like this fruity, fresh scent with the green matcha character. Especially on warm days, the fragrance really shines!
The scent starts off wonderfully fruity, subtly fresh, and lightly green. It also has a gentle sweet fruitiness. The green touch comes from the matcha accord used. I generally love matcha, and I’m happy to smell it again in a fragrance. The matcha note doesn’t come across as extremely authentic, but I still really like it.
This mix of matcha and citrus notes lasts quite a long time, and I don’t really notice a strong scent development. The progression is quite linear, which I personally like because I find the impressions from the top notes simply fantastic.
A hint of juniper berry lightly tickles my nose, and otherwise, not much else happens.
Notes like tobacco or leather, for example, I can’t perceive at all.
Towards the end, it gains a slight bit of "warmth," but nothing more. Do I find that bad?
No! As mentioned, I enjoy the top note phase, so I’m completely fine with a fairly linear progression.
The longevity on my skin is about 7-8 hours.
However, the sillage is noticeably weaker. It doesn’t project particularly strongly. Relatively quickly, the scent becomes quite close to the skin.
There are moments, though, when it suddenly surrounds you again after many hours.
I should note that this only happens when it’s really, really warm.
Apparently, the warmth does the fragrance a lot of good.
Is the scent unisex wearable?
Definitely!
Sol E Samba works and smells excellent on both genders.
