A work of art to take away please.
It's September, rather chilly and quite windy. You're on vacation and take advantage of the bad weather to visit the museum. Luckily you bought your tickets online a few days ago, because not only is there a really big queue of people waiting at the entrance - there's also a "Sold out for today" sign dangling in the wind. Oops. Fortunately, you arrive on time for your admission time and enter the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam... Equipped with an audio guide, you explore the floors full of paintings, taking photos of your favorites or the ones with the most exciting stories. Until you arrive on the 3rd floor, at the end of the tour. A huge crowd gathers in front of Van Gogh's last great work of art, which he not only painted shortly before his death and dedicated to his newborn nephew - it is also truly beautiful - "Almond Blossoms". Turquoise blue background in a thousand facets, covered all over with delicate bright blossoms on fresh branches. It's clearly your favorite picture of the whole exhibition. I quickly took a souvenir photo. Oh, it's beautiful...
Still a little emotional, you wander towards the exit, past the museum store - stop, a huge glass box in the beautiful "Almond Blossoms" design is really advertising a perfume that looks just as gorgeous, isn't it?

And three guesses which packaging victim chased across the store to get hold of another bottle? That's right, me.
I just love beautiful bottles. And if you've already noticed from the above description of the day - I love this bottle design. And the painting to go with it. The only problem is that I can't take the original painting home with me. But I can take the bottle home with me (plus all the other souvenirs that I bought at way too high a price - oops, oh well).

About the fragrance
Does it smell like the name "Sweet Almond Blossom | Floral Street" and the design/painting suggest? Nope, not in my opinion. It is not spring-fresh green, delicately floral, lightly transparent. Fortunately, I would say, because I don't usually like scents like this very much.
But what is it like now?
Initially citrusy-sweet, the madarine-pomelo combination. The fruity, juicy passion fruit joins in immediately. And makes itself at home. Because it stays as citrusy and fruity for quite a while, like a fresh glass of passion fruit nectar. Quite sweet, but also fruity and delicious. Gourmand yes, but still "perfumey", which is important to me personally.
Finally, there are clearly floral notes at the heart. When I read apple blossom, I can definitely imagine that it's in there. But I can't imagine the matcha tea - there's no trace of it.
This sweet, fruity and floral melange stays with me for a few hours. In the first hour it is already very clearly perceptible, then more moderate and ever closer to the skin.
In the drydown, it becomes really wonderfully vanilla-creamy with - finally - a perceptible almond-marzipan note. Beautifully round and soft and cuddly.
In total, the magic lasts 6-7 hours with strongly decreasing sillage.

Conclusion?
A really, really beautiful fragrance. For me, it is also suitable for the colder months due to its sweetness. Packeting is a dream, whether the fragrance goes with it now remains questionable. For me, it's definitely worth the money. I love it and will treasure it - not only as an addition to my collection, but also as a beautiful memory...
